I really like what I'm seeing from Pietrus so far.

1. Good, tough Defense
2. Can hit the three pretty well
3. Brings a tough edge defensively at the wing spot
4. Not afraid to give a guy a whack on a play, much like Posey was so good at doing. he brings that TA, Posey, Powe kind of swagger to his play.

Does his presence on the team remind you guys a bit of Posey?

I haven't seen him give man-hugs, yet.

But he does remind me of Pose a bit as far as play.

Very good point regarding the man hugs - that's a key issue...

Much funnier than Posey. Posey had not charm.

So it's quite possible, when you factor in the charm, that Pietrus is not only similar in some ways to Posey, but is actually an upgrade, minus the man hugs...

They were both very nice pick ups by DA, that showed the value in patience when it comes to free agency.
Celtics fan for life.

Pietrus>Posey

Posey was good as a spot starter, he could help in many ways.  Pietrus could start as sg and I don't think the starters would miss a beat.

Plus, my wife likes his accent.

When you factor in the accent thing, it's over.

Hands down, no contest; Pietrus > Posey

Posey has always been the best comparison with Pietrus...even down to the way they both completely turn off the motor when they are not playing for quality teams.

I agree.  As tough as Posey was I think Pietrus is a bit tougher.   Also Pietrus is a bit better handling the ball which isn't saying much.

I agree. And with healthy starters a solid bench rotation of dooling/bradley, pietrus, bass, and wilcox will be nice.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

that is true though, james was good at d, would hit the jumpers and run the lanes but NOT a ball handler

I SWEAR I used to say this when Orlando beat us a few years back. He is like a better James Posey.
