^

ray allen
JJ or dooling
first round pick (boston)

for

lee
Budinger
thabeet
second round pick

i understand thabeet seems like a bust with alot of errors in his game, but maybe guys like KG & JO can improve that by teaching him great defense.

but back to business

Why should the rockets do this trade - every young team needs a veteran who was once an all star (in rays case a 10x all star),and has nba finals experience on their squad, ray and martin would also be killers from the 3 point line.

why should the celtics do this trade - the team get's a huge boost of young players on the bench,it would allow pietrus to start @ the SG position.and it will give the team more energy

No.  As we enter rebuilding, it doesn't make a lot of sense to trade young players and draft picks for mediocre guys.  We're giving up by far the best player in the deal, and we're giving up the best pick.  I don't think that helps us.

Nah.  The 1st round pick we'd be giving up would be worth more than any of the individual players we'd be getting back.

so would you do a trade ray for martin? (which i doubt would ever happen)?

even that one I'd rather keep than give up for a bunch of mediocre guys.  at least there's the chance a pick in the 20's could turn into something more than the kind of player we could probably pick up in the D-league or sign on a small contract in any given off-season.

Nope, we lose this trade.

Courtney Lee is a good back up 2
Budinger's spot is being taken by Chandler Parsons who I think is a lot better.
Thabeet is a bust. And we give a 1st rounder on top of that.

If this is Lee, Parsons and Patrick Patterson/Jordan Hill and their 1st round (first rounders switch) then I might mull over it for a while.

But for the proposed trade, pass.
