I know we all got excited after the winning streak, but IMO the C's clearly aren't contenders . It's just a waste of a season trying to make the playoffs. The best thing the c's could do is try to trade one of the big 3 for future prospects

Maybe Ray and a 1st for Kevin Martin ?

I'm sure you all heard it before ,but please Danny make a move to put us in the lottery  ;)

agreed.  This team isn't a contender

C'mon now...I was shocked to see us give up that lead, but we won, right?

I am betting that there isn't another fanbase out there that posts like this even with a win?

C'mon now..

that was like watching your starting nose tackle take on the punter and just barely be able to push him back, and then pop up after the play and say "Hey. I did it!"

not again  ::) i don't get it. Those who are longing for the lottery days turn the DVR on and rewatch 2007. For the rest of us, it took 22years to reach this point; so Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Giving up a 22 pt lead to the garbage Cavs is plenty of reason to be upset. 28 rebounds!! Come on now. We are the Celtics and only championships matter. People are talking this way because this team has NO chance of winning anything. Its time to trade chips for the future if we can get young talent, or let guys walk away after this season and have cap space. Dont be surprised though when people complain. Fans of all teams do that.

This game is just the latest symptom, not proof of the disease.

But still?

After a WIN? Even an ugly one?

Look I'm not thrilled, either - especially being how far we were up b4 I left.

But we won.

Giving up a 22 pt lead to the garbage Cavs is plenty of reason to be upset.

Except this didn't happen.

We never fell behind.

We won the game.

In 2008 and 2010 and last year we had big leads and almost lost them. We had big leads and did lose them and the opposite is true as well. We came back from huge deficits as well as almost came back from huge deficits.

People are over-reacting.

Come on nick. You are splitting hairs and you know what I mean. We also had a killer defense that year and rebounded the ball well. Dont pretend you think this team is a contender. We are what we are. A squeak into the playoff and first round loss team.

Wow.

I've monitored this blog since mid 2006...joined it in Oct09.

I've NEVER seen it so caustic around here, to be honest.

I think the Perk trade didn't help things, but wow.

I don't like this downhill ride, just like I didn't like watching Bird and company deteriorate, because the ending is going to be similar unless Danny does what Red didn't do.

No, I didn't like either those 22 years out in the desert looking for the promised land, and No, I didn't like the post-Cowens, pre-Bird Rowe/Wicks "era" in terms of championships. But I did enjoy them as a Celtics/NBA fan, and there was always "hope".

It came from Indiana St. after Rowe/Wicks and it came from Seattle and Minnesota after those 22 Reggie Lewis-M.L. Carr-Pitino-Blount years.

It'll come again....and the sooner the better.
