Lol, exactly. For the Greg Oden fans that are on this board, let it go. He is not going to be the player we thought in 2007 pre-draft. If we are going to go this route, as might as well bring back KG and Ray for another run. Even at an older age, at least they'll be able to remain on the court alot longer than Oden can.

You know, if we strike out on DH and have to spend a few bucks for one year, then if he passes a physical at the start and end of a full camp, I guarantee the first year and keep a team option on the 2nd for respectable money.

I think the current roster, with the current rookies seasoning this year, plus JGreen and a healthy at least 50% of the time Oden, perhaps an ensemble cast could make a run at repeating.

He's too risky right now. Im not the biggest fan of jermaine but you can't take risks with guys who are so injury prone, especially with crook knees. Hes on the same track as Roy

Oden could possibly come next year and give 20 minutes a night of solid post play.  That would be worth about $5-6m.  Any team would be gambling on his health of course, but in a league with few true centers, it's a gamble that more than a few teams will probably be willing to take.

There's a possibility that Oden gets on the court this season.  If the guy plays and doesn't get hurt again, and has production similar to what he's shown in his brief time healthy, 9 and 7 in 22 minutes, the guy's looking at a decent pay day.

NOTE: As I type this, they just had a cut in on NBA-TV showing Nic Batum apparently shredding up his knee.

I wouldn't mind taking a flier on Oden next year, but I get the feeling enough other teams will have the same idea that it will be much too pricy of a flier. 

If he's somehow available on the cheap, go for it and make sure to get another serviceable C too.
