This tends to happen when the big three are out there together. They get a lead and then play lackadaisically. It was worse when Rondo was pounding the ball, so I didn't necessarily expect a loss here tonight.

Well, we could be ORL..they are getting destroyed at home by Indy right now.

Looks like 5 losses in a row for them.

The Magic are a gutless team . . . with this Dwight Howard stuff hanging over them, they're primed for a collapse.

Kyrie Irving is a legit player.  He really exposed Avery . . . Avery couldn't defend him to save his life, and he was a non-factor on offense.

Yet another indefensible 4th quarter collapse by this team.  They seemed to give up after that non-call on the foul on Pierce.

I guess it was a good effort all things considered, but really if you look at the rosters there's no reason the Cavs should be able to hang around.  The Celtics just allowed the Cavs to play the game at their pace and they were sloppy the entire game.

The Cavs did a good job totally exposing the Celtics' lack of an inside game.
These things can be adjusted we didnt get dominated tonight it'll be a different result on tuesday i aint like the other bi-polar posters on here lol

All I can say is that I cannot wait until this team has an inside game again.

Probably won't happen until the Big 3 are long gone, though.

No, we didn't get dominated.  But all of the reasons we lost tonight are recurring themes that have plagued this team the past few years, but are worse this year -- turnovers, second chance points, no inside game, 4th quarter collapses, allowing opposing point guards to score a ton of points, etc.

Let's be fair, here. There aren't many teams with a true inside game.

I would have preferred Moore closing in stead of Bradley, and perhaps Pietrus in stead of Ray. Ray had a great game on offense, but I don't feel comfortable with his defense, when we are in the lead and need to keep the game under control.

teams with bigs that can actually get points in the paint?  there are plenty of teams that do that.  the Celtics don't even have a single player on the team who can get 10+ points per game in the paint, other than perhaps Rondo, who is wildly inconsistent as a scorer, and disappears late in games.

the Cavs have a better inside game just by having Anderson Varejao.

not many teams have a legit post-up threat, but you don't necessarily need a go-to post scorer to have an inside game. you just need to have guys that can slash to the rim and also finish high-percentage shots inside reliably.

Ray had 36 mins, KG had 31 and PP had 35 mins. The production of the others suffered once again because Doc is so stupidly adamant of giving them less playing time when the Old Three are all playing together. The less privileged (players who get little PTs) will all the more lose the confidence that they had started to build on from the last 3 games.

Doc, you are destroying all the positives that the team were getting from recent games.

Agreed, and also perhaps Wilcox in there to sit on Sideshow Andy. Need another piece at F/C, and I dont mean JO/Sheed.  Young legs.
