I think we would be fine with a PG combo of Pierce+Bradley+Moore...I really do. Pierce and Moore are scoring powers and Bradley is so shut-down, right now...it's almost Rondo'esque. I think Bass and Pietrus can spell both Allen and Pierce, so that leaves a big to give Garnett and JO a rest.

Now, what big can we get for Rondo? If you can't do a CP3 for Rondo straight up, I would think someone would unload a big for a top 6-7 PG...right? How about Rondo for Al Jefferson or Rondo for Robin Lopez and Josh Childress?  I think we can win with this team!!!

Rondo is too good.  They just need to open up the offense and stop having ray run around screens for 15 seconds. It just bogs everything down. I think Pierce proved he should have the ball in his hands more.  I think trading Ray (hate saying Ray and trade BTW) for Al Jefferson would be a good move.  Our biggest weakness is offense, specifically inside scoring.  Pietrus can spread the floor the same way Ray does.  He doesn't shoot nearly as well but he is way more athletic and much better defensively.  Last few games this team played with way more energy.   We can't continue with the current starting 5.  (4 old guys and Rondo) need to infuse some energy to mix and match.

KG
Big Al
Pierce
Pietrus
Rondo

Bench
Bass, JO, Daniels, Bradley, Wilcox and Moore

Good looking team just needs another scorer on the bench maybe JR Smith.

That would be an very competitive group..

People underestimate how much Ray Allen makes other players play defense.

As for Rondo...well, I don't need to defend Rondo.

So Allen has missed 2 games and you guys are already scratching him off the roster...if he had been there tonight and had scored 35 points, 7/8 3 pointers, like he does sometimes, and in a huge comeback like this one, you guys would have been like: "omg, Ray is the s***, no way he should be traded, blablablah..."

funny how people have a tendency to quickly get rid of guys when they're absent for a bit of time. There is another thread about Rondo that's the same kind...

Against a team like the Bulls, it would be awful to be without Rondo. It is great that we now have other options than keeping Rondo on the floor, but it would kill this team to trade him unless we get an upgrade (Rose or CP3).

Just look at the first half yesterday and tell me that you weren't pining for Rondo to come back.

Bradley was -13 last night on +/-.  He was not part of the big run that won the game.   Rondo + Pierce and Moore+Pierce is better than Bradley and I feel Bradley is the odd man out.  Bradley is shooting .36% from the field and 1.1 TO and 1.2 TO.  You know who Bradley reminds of me in a way is Marcus Banks in terms of his consistency.  A good game here and two or three bad ones, good athletic ability but poor decision making.

While it is true Rondo is our best asset for trades being young and talented.   I would much rather keep him than Bradley.

I think our offense was probably as good or better in the first three games when Paul was out and Bradley and Moore hardly played. What would those three players bring back in trades?

That statement about Ray could be read two ways at this point in his career--depending on whether you are talking about his teammates or opponents.

  WRONG!

I find it kind of comical that people believe this team is better without Ray and Rondo because we beat an extremely flawed, under talented and mentally weak Orlando team.

We cannot compete with the Chicago's, Miami's and OKC's without  our best player(Rondo) and our best shooter(Ray).

Because the way we beat them, pressuring the ball full court is going to work against Jameer Nelson but it's not going to work against Derek Rose or other elite teams.  It didn;t even work against a pretty poor Phoenix team....how soon we forget.

Because Paul Pierce can play the point forward against Hedu Turkoglu but he cant do so successfully against LeBron James or Kevin Durant.

Orlando doesn't even have a legit go to scorer.

These wins have been nice and unexpected but they are fool's gold.  We NEED all of our weapons if we are to truly contend with the big boys of the NBA(which Orlando is not even close to being).
