Ugh.  This sounds so realistic.

...Didn't it get last years wrong?

If you are into predictions and superstitions, Joan Jett picked the Giants to win this year and she has been right like 7 years in a row.

Wieghing in on this Super Bowl, this feels a lot more comfortable to me than the previous stint four years ago. We had the pressure of the undefeated season, the Spygate, the allegations that the Patriots filmed practices of the Rams before SB XXXVI, and the Hatriot culture that has faded over time. Now if anything, the Giants have talked themselves up as the favorites and even on their website have hailed themselves as SB XLVI champions.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I really have no idea whether to be really uneasy or totally excited for the game tomorrow.  I really feel like anything could happen.

A rather interesting, (and premature), ad that was temporarily on the Giants' website yesterday:

Whoops!

Somewhat related: I've often wondered how much money is spent by losing teams, (and memoribilia manufacturers), on merchandise in preparation for a win that is never realized?

They must have to absorb a rather significant loss in order to have items immediately available for sale.

Here's hoping it's not the Patriots this year. ;)

I've read that the NFL sends all of this to developing countries, and gives them away for free.

I hear what you are saying. It does feel a lot more comfortable.
It is one of these games where there is just not a clear favorite. I hear people saying "The Giants will win because..." or "The Pats will win because..." but all I can think is that the chances of either team winning is about 50-50. We'll just see what happens. I do agree with the analysts who say stuff like "it will depend on who has possession last" or "a few special teams plays or tipped balls could decide the game".

That's pretty cool and nice to know ... in that case, not a wasted investment at all.

I'm calling it now, the Pats will do a trick Play with Edlemen where he gets the ball on a reverse and throws deep. Edlemen was a college QB , but the Patriots haven't tried using him to throw a pass as far as I can remember. If they are ever going to do it today is the day! One big trick play to Ochocinco deep ;)

nice call, but I just don't see it. Edelman has so much to think about on both sides of the ball already, they don't want him thinking about other/new stuff.

The only "trick" play I see is Solder coming in as a TE in the red zone and scoring a TD.  But it won't be so much of a trick in the sense that I think everyone expects this...

I'm kind of proud of the fact that I was able to block out a 99% of the hype of the last two weeks.  I'm getting pretty fired up for the game now.

This one has such a different feel than the last one - the last 3 really.

Here's hoping the Pats are up to the task.  Should be a great game.

GO PATS!
Yup

Gotta love Aaron Rogers calling out the Giants for faking injuries to slow down the no-huddle offence.

Yeah, that was great, (though I doubt it will prevent them from doing it again) ... I also loved his making a point of Brady's eye control, (and pocket presence), as being better than anyone's, something that is rarely talked about, but an incredible tool and very difficult talent to master.
