Like Really is he still here???? He's the root for all Celtics problems. Get'em Outta Here!!! Scram!!! Poof Be-gone!!!   You all know by now I don't care much for Rondo's game and never will as long as he's a Celtic during this "Big 3 era". He needs to be traded ASAP.

Deron Williams is on the trading block. This is by far our best replacement option. Both teams will get exactly what they need as a result of this trade. Danny please send Rondo packing before breaking up the big 3. This team has suffered for years when it truly mattered all because of Rondo. The big 3 are still very good, just not a good fit with Rondo. Make it Happen... Heck get Devin Harris for god's sake. Almost any trade involving Rondo will make us better.

Not really...

I think if we're trading him it'd better not be for another point guard. It'll be a lateral move. In my opinion, if you move him you'd better get a big in return.

I agree with you in that he does not fit here very well and it hurts Rondo's production as much as it hurts the team's production. The Pacers are pretty interested in Rondo and I could definitely see both sides benefiting from this (plus I get to have them as my second most favorite team which I have yet to have ;D).

we can only assume you hate rondo so much you'd be willing to hurt the team in trading him for devin harris or "almost any trade involving rondo will make us better "

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Thought this was a serious post and then I read the part about getting Devin Harris for Rondo. Stopped reading after that.

good bye.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Judging by the OP's avatar I'd say this was tongue-in-cheek.

Trade Rondo for Harris?  That'd make me want to trade Danny for Kahn.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I thought that the offense flowed better through Paul the last two games than it does with Rondo.  Because Rondo is not a threat to shoot, he just dribbles down the shot clock behind the three point line.  But Paul can drive or shoot forcing the defense to key in on him more.  Then he can dish or shoot, which has worked well the last two games.

I am (currently) not an advocate of trading Rondo by any stretch of the imagination but if I were to trade Rondo, I would pair him with Jermaine O'Neal to get a PG and a Big. For instance, Rondo JuJuan Johnson and Jermaine O'Neal to Phoenix for Steve Nash and Marcin Gortat.  I advocated that deal before the start of the season but have since changed my mind. Rondo must stay.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Isn't Nash like 40 years old?

Giving the ball to Pierce works well in stretches, but it has three huge problems:
1. It wears him down to do that every game.
2. It is a lot more predictable than Rondo's game.
3. Against bad matchups (LeBron, Deng etc.) the offense will simply stall because the threat from Pierce himself isn't that big.

I think that having both Rondo and Pierce as options is great, and we have probably not used Pierce's ability as a playmaker enough.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
If important and binding decisions could be made in this website, Rondo would have been traded away, brought back, traded again, brought back, traded again, brought back. Same with Pierce, Allen and KG. Im glad we can only think outloud in here; nothing more.  :-\
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine
