I guess losing to the Celtics 3 times was the last straw LOL

Not surprised by this, the team's complete lack of development had to be troubling to management. John Wall's stagnation in particular is a huge concern.

I guess they'd like to see more passes off the backboard in Washington.

If you can't connect with coachable players like Andray Blatche you have no business being in the NBA

Yeah but McGee, Wall, and Young should all be able to improve. Blatche is probably a lost cause at this point but the others aren't...

I agree he should've been fired. Was just taking a cheap shot at Blatche for an easy chuckle.

I don't necessarily agree with McGee or Young though. I think for better or for worse they are probably who they are.

Zero progress, not too surprising.  Promote Sam Cassell!

Agreed.  With a young talent like Wall, you can't afford to take any chances that he'll spend his most formative years in the league under a coach with whom he has no connection.

Washington needs to get a coach in there who can develop a good relationship with Wall and perhaps McGee and the other talented young guys on that team, and then try to ride that for years to come.  Good things happen when you have a superstar and a coach that are on the same page and totally buy into what the other wants to do.

Would be interesting to see a little Larry Brown action imposed on that team.

McGee seems to be heading in the wrong direction (see the aforementioned self-pass), and Wall came off the lockout with the intention to play street ball every game. They have quite a collection of headcases there in DC.

Young is who he is, but he could be that same player within a more team oriented game if Wall was becoming a better PG.

McGree is young enough that he can develop into a more solid player, big men come into team game understanding late often enough. But man oh man the that play (self pass) thinks he never will.
