SAC gets: Rajon Rondo

BOS gets: Tyreke Evans & Jason Thompson

The Kings need a true point guard/someone to distribute the basketball and the Celtics need a scorer and a rebounder. Both teams get better in this trade IMO. Of course the Celtics would miss Rondo disrupting the passing lanes on defense and his overall quickness but they'd be a better offensive team. The C's may have to throw in a 1st rounder?

Lineup:

Tyreke Evans
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Jason Thompson

Brandon Bass
Mickael Pietrus
Jermaine O'Neal
Keyon Dooling
Marquis Daniels

No.  Tyreke's skill set would help a lot here, but we need a distributor, and that's not him.

Tyreke and Thompson are better building blocks for the future and it's not like we're winning the title this year anyways.

A better shot at what?  Seriously, the Celtics have no shot at a title this year.  None.  So the better question is, does this trade give Boston a better shot going forward?  And for that I have no idea.  I might make the trade I might not, depending on due diligence, likelihood of re-signing Thompson to a reasonable deal, etc.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I don't think so.

I'm of the mind-set that Tyreke Evans is destined to have a poor man's Allen Iverson career. Eye-popping statistics, nights where he appears that he might be the best player in the league, perennial loser.

I think there's a greater chance of Rondo developing an acceptable jumpshot, than Tyreke turning into a good team player.

Tyreke will be a great scorer. As far as a pass first point guard, I think he struggles with passing angles.

Also he relies alot on iso plays which I feel slows down an offence, something, well we couldn't get any slower at times. He'll probably be a 2 guard in a few years.

As far as Jason Thompson - Is still think he has more maturing to do. D Cousins is the best player on Sac's team. Any trade for him will benefit us greatly.

No but this one does

http://www.ology.com/sports/nba-trade-rumor-demarcus-cousins-boston-celtics-would-make-them-even-more-fcked/01042012

"So DeMarcus Cousins is the (rumored) answer. Cousins would certainly fit the Celtics mold of requiring all of their players to be utterly insane. Kevin Garnett is a pathological ****. Ray Allen is OCD. Rajon Rondo is a roller skater/alien. Paul Pierce once walked himself to the hospital after suffering approximately 239 stab wounds. DeMarcus Cousins should feel right at home in Boston!" (Quote from the article)
