Tech Question (IPad)

So back during the HP touchpad Firesale I was able to get one.  Have since uploaded android onto it but quickly realized after using several friends Ipads that I was really kidding myself thinking what I have is as good.


I sold my touchpad and am going to get an Ipad.  Apple sells their refurbed Ipad 2's which come with the same warranty, have a new casing, new screen and new battery for $419.  Do I pull the trigger now or wait for the mythical Ipad 3 to come out so that the price drops a little lower.

What was the difference?  Do I finally have to buy my first apple product?  I don't typically find them to be the best on the market, but they're usually the best first.

Ipad was significantly lighter, better battery life, more polished operating system, and a faster processor/smoother feel when running apps.
