There is no chance (Dwight Howard) comes to Boston, though, because he does not want to play here. If he did, the Celtics would roll out a green carpet from his house all the way to TD Garden. Chances: 1 percent. Boston Globe

The Celtics need to have a very good showing this season to prove to Howard they can be a title contender with him on board next season.

This .500 ball and a first round exit isn't good enough to tempt him to come here.

If Dwight Howard is Danny's priority, he has to find reinforcements to improve this year's squad (while retaining enough flexibility to still sign Dwight Howard) ... to give them a chance to make some noise come playoff time.

Ainge cannot afford to just let the clock run out.

This guy must know something we don't....
I always look to boston.com for my up to the minute breaking Dwight Howard news and knowledge.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

1% is better than 0%

what just because he doesn't want to come here, we give up...we don't attempt to try?

come FA, if we tried to get him here and he went somewhere else, ok, so w hat we tried...

if we don't try and he just ends up somewhere else, people are going to blame the GM (Danny) for not even trying

ok, so he has a 1% chance of coming to Boston, anything we can do to increase that 1% higher?

Dwight Howard doesnt want to play for Celtics.

I knew this all along. We wont have a chance landing him if we dont get another Superstar to convince him like KG. He would probably sign here if we landed Josh Smith.

yeah that.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Haha no doubt.  That article better not have taken more than 5 minutes to write.  That look at upcoming free agents was turrible.

Frankly, the only reason that _I_ want him here is because he's the best player available this offseason. Otherwise, I'm not particularly enamored with him as a player or person... so I guess I won't cry if it doesn't happen.  ::)
