I watch the hole game last night and have come away now knowing that its over. We need to cash out the big three for draft picks

KG to Phili
Brand + 1st to boston (they get same productivity and one less year on contract, they will need $$ to resign hawes)

Ray to clippers (as ive previously posted)

Gomes + Foye + Bledsoe to celtics ( trade bledsoe to suns for 1st)

Pierce + Wilcox to Portland

Camby + Batum to boston

We then play the rest of the season with

Rondo avery
Foye  moore
Batum pietrus
Brand bass johnson
Camby bass steimsma

We would have 4 first round picks this year, a leader and star pg in rondo, and a young high potential SF batum. Ideal situation we package our 4 picks and turn them into two top 15 picks. With a good draft we will at least have an exciting team going forward

Thats the Plan,

However if things worked out and we can flip multiple picks for two top 15 picks say #10 and #15. Going by nbadraft.net we could land Terrance Ross,Austin Rivers or wither Lamb at SG and a big man prospect like Henson,Moultrie, or Leonard. With this we cross our figures for a pierce like miracle and someone like perry jones or kidd-gilcrest slides to us.

pg Rondo, Avery,

sg (River/Ross/Lamb), Moore

sf Batum,J Green

pf Bass,(Henson,Moultrie),JJ[dream situation land PJones, sullinger, or robinson]

c ?????, Steimsma
(tough to sign a center with out over paying but we will have to find someone for 2013)

  • Rondo = Good
It says a lot about the Big 3 now that all 3 of your trades are actually worse for the other team than they are for the Celtics.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

last night was rough.. but i still don't see the point in blowing things up like that.  i'd rather watch an aging celtics team through the regular season and take a chance that they have one final push in them for the playoffs, than to watch a team of question marks because it will supposedly be exciting to watch them foul the superstars of this league, play one on one basketball/no team defense and most likely look like the new jersey nets and washington wizards of the league.

I agree; I would say neither of those 3 teams even consider making those deals.  Only exception would be POR but only if they don't feel they can sign Batum long term (they're currently working on an extension).

It hasn't even been 20 games yet.

Let's see where this team is at the end of February.

8-12 at the end of January hopefully and playing better.

9-5 for the month of Feb. with some close loses but getting in shape and getting healthier.

I know .500 ball isn't great and it's not what we've been used to seeing but that's when we should have our real team.
