He will be the face of their franchise for years to come barring injury or him doing a Chris Paul 2.0.....they'll also be crazy not to match offers!

yeah..i think you are right, was purely day dreaming.

what about Evan Turner, I was hoping 76ers will give up on him, it looks they start to believe in him again.

Yeah he was looking ripe for the picking but I think he's getting back up the pecking order in the rotation.....I like Xavier Henry too.....there are a lot of young guys that won't catapult us back in to contention but could be nice building blocks

I disagree.  I don't think the NBA makes that big of a commitment on behalf of the future owner of the team.  Throw Eric Gordon a max contract and I think we get him to be Rondo's backcourt partner for the next five years

He's going to sign an extension with the Hornets by his Wednesday deadline.

Of a possible 261 games he could have played in, Eric Gordon has played in 198.  He missed 20 games in 2009-10, 26 games in 2010-11, and has played in only 2 games this year.  I don't know about you, but i don't want to give out a max contract to a guy who's gonna miss 20 games a year.  He's nice when he plays, but he doesn't deserve a max deal

Oh, you're definitely overpaying with a max deal. Absolutely.  You kind of just have to accept that going into it, though.  If you offer a reasonable deal, there is no reason for New Orleans not to match it.  You have to look at it as bait for other players to want to come to Boston.  Right now, we will have nothing to offer anyone who wants to win this off-season

That's why draft picks > Josh Smith (or any tier 2 stars/player with potential). Draft picks allow you to acquire building blocks on the cheap while keeping your options open. 2 or 3 trips to the lotery, some clever moves on the FA market, some patience and then it will be time to make a big splash.

rather keep Rondo, and draft the best center, PW, and point guard we can get.

True.  If you're willing to sacrifice the next three seasons and have nothing to be excited about, I agree this is the best route to go.  I don't think Danny shares your sentiment now - I think he'd rather have us as a middle of the pack playoff team that at least as a shot at the upset

Completely disagree with the above. Ainge will much rather be a lottery team for 4-5 years than have an eighth seed team for the next 4-5 years. He has done it before and he will do it again.

Why would you think that? I think you're 100% wrong.
