Back-up 4s on playoff teams:

Miami: Haslem (a little better than Bass)
Chicago: Gibson (a little better)
OKC: Collison (they might want to upgrade here)
Clippers: Evans (Bass would definitely have value to them)
Sixers: Thaddeus (better)
Lakers: McBob (they could use Bass)
Mavs: Odom (better)
Nuggets: Harrington (playing well, no need for Bass at the moment)
Pacers: Hansbrough (Bass would be more potent offensively)
Hawks: Radman/Ivan Johnson (yep, they'd want him)
Orlando: Baby (hehe)
Portland: Craig Smith (they'd definitely benefit from Bass)
Memphis: Speights/Cunningham (they might be interested)
Spurs: Bonner (yep, they'd want him)
Jazz: Favors (nope)
Knicks: Harrelson (yep)
Cavs: Thompson (nope)

He'd have a little value to some of those teams.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Hes been one of our best consistent pick ups this year. He could be more help to us in the playoffs then not having him.

Do you really think we will be in the playoffs.   I would keep Bass, while he isn't a guy you build around.   He is not bad and not too expensive.

If Danny doesn't go out there and acquire a Varejao type, then I say blow it up.

So that is a "yes" to trading Brandon Bass. I have no interest in signing him to a long term deal. I would rather keep the C's cap flexibility than spend a significant chunk of it ($5-7mil per annum) on a role player of Bass' ilk.

Nice list. Let's see what those teams have to offer:

OKC -- (1) Nazr Mohammed + first round pick (2) Cole Aldrich + L.Hayward

Lakers -- not seeing any offer. McRoberts and second round picks.

Pacers -- I expect them to prefer Hansbrough

Atlanta -- can't take on salary. Needs to be salary neutral. No options trade wise. Zaza is the only one who matches up and they won't part with him with Horford out and probably wouldn't if Horford was healthy either.

Portland -- lack of contracts to matchup with

Memphis -- OJ Mayo

San Antonio -- Matt Bonner + J.Anderson or C.Joseph. Doubt they'd give up a future first given their precarious draft position with Ginobili out and an upcoming rebuilding process on the cards.

NY Knicks -- Balkman + Douglas ?? Do they do that?

Edit: Denver might be interested in Bass as a starting PF instead of Mozgov with Mozgov heading the other way to Boston. I'd be very happy with that deal. Mozzy is a nice long term project at center.

Of course, I know the thread was about sending Bass to a contender but the Celtics could certainly trade him for value to an expected lottery team also. Bass is young enough to have value to those squads.

Washington -- Andray Blatche

Sacramento -- Jason Thompson or JJ Hickson + D.Greene as cap filler. May need to send back an early second round pick due to D.Greene's inclusion due to lack of other cap filler contracts.

New Jersey -- Jordan Farmar or Anthony Morrow

Milwaukee -- Ilyasova and a pair of second round picks

Houston Rockets -- Hasheem Thabeet? Or Jonny Flynn (as cap filler) + P.Patterson?

Not seeing a trade with Charlotte, Detroit, Golden State, Minnesota, New Orleans, Phoenix or Toronto.
