Boston gets Josh Smith and Kirk Hinrich
Atlanta gets Kevin Garnett and Devin Harris
Utah gets Marvin Williams

Utah lacks a SF and they are shopping Harris according to Marc Stein

Boston gets Smith and a nice bench player in Hinrich who is an expiring

Atlanta gets rid of Williams and Smith's contracts, gets KG and his expiring deal.
They also get Devin Harris who can play the Jamal Crawford role or who can start at
the SG spot and move Johnson to the SF spot. TMac could start at SF if they want Harris
off the bench.

Why wouldn't Atlanta just trade Marvin Williams (or Hinrich) for Devin Harris straight up?

And keep Josh Smith. Surely that is a better option for them.
