Apparently its being "reported" that there's a potential trade in the works for Pierce. The trade would have Pierce heading to the Pacers for Paul George, Louis Amundson, and a draft pick. I have no idea how valid this since I see no one else reporting it but the trades interesting.

Here's the link...

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/284666/20120119/paul-pierce-trade-rumors-pacers-frontrunners-land.htm

Would you do it? Its actually not half bad for 34 year old pierce. You get a young proven shooter with potential in George , a center presence with Amundson, and an additional pick (though not specified 1st or 2nd round) for a loaded draft we already have 3 picks for...

It would be a good rebuilding move and we would get young talent. So if this is real, do you think DA does this? Would you do it?

When I saw that you said George Hill, I thought there was no way. But then when I read the article and it said George Hill, I could see it happening.

It was just a writer talking about an idea he had after he read Wojnarowski's article.

Not a trade or even trade discussions. Just the writer's idea.

Oh I wasn't even sure, funny thing is I could actually see the pacers doing it.

Ummm... It says Paul George not George Hill. Big difference! I'd be really tempted to do it if I was the Celtics I don't see why Indy would though. As has already been mentioned this is the writers own idea not an actual rumor. Considering the Pacers already have Danny Granger it makes no sense to go after Pierce.

I think they'd probably give us that plus Granger if we gave them Rondo. Then the Pacers would be my first second favorite team.

I don't like the idea of trading Rondo but I absolutely hate the idea of trading Pierce. Pierce is one of the few things that are actually working for our team right now. Plus he is one of the most Celtic Celtics.

Yeah, absolutely no way for George Hill.  Paul George and maybe we're talking... He has the type of skill-set potential to become the next Paul Pierce (although unlikely).

Hahaha.... A. Horrible trade

B.

I could write this article myself with a headline of:

Pierce Rumors: (Insert team here) Might be Frontrunners

then further in the article saying: The (Insert team) Could absorb Pierce's salary and the might be willing to trade (Insert player A), (Insert player B), (Insert draft choice).

Dangit, publish me!!!

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Pierce for Paul george and amendson would be okay by me if Ainge feels a trade is necessary.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
lol Larry Bird would be hanged in Indiana if he did this!

Not a sniff of a chance this is happening.

I think if this became a 'rumor' as opposed to it being just an idea, it'd be more likely to be Granger, I don't think Indy hand us Paul George (granted they get Paul freaking Pierce but at this stage, (captain) obvious(ly) Paul George has more value!

Yeah, I'm sure the proposal would be Granger, not George, and I don't see Ainge making that deal.  If Granger were a couple years younger, perhaps.
