So I'm playing NBA 2k12 in Association mode and i imported the 2012 draft class.

Celtics finish the season with current roster.

In the offseason the following players WALK:

Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Mickael Pietrus
Jermaine O'Neal
Keyon Dooling
Marquis Daniels
Sasha Pavlovic

Use whatever is left to make a run at Kevin Love. If we can get him do it, if not you force Minnesota to give him the MAX.

Sign Osik.

Do whatever you have to do to draft Austin Rivers.

Rondo (14pts, 4reb, 10ast, 2.5stl)
Rivers
Pierce (16, 5reb, 4ast)
Love (20pts, 10reb)
Asik (8pts, 8reb, 2blk)

That's a pretty productive starting lineup. I'd also bring back Stiemsma to have a VERY young backup group on the bench.

Moore, Bradley, Johnson, Stiemsma.

Fill out the other 6 spots with one year veterans and other late draft picks.

I really don't think any scenario that gets Love out of Minnesota next summer is realistic.  I think Minnesota will match any offer, so if he does not want to stay there, he won't risk it, and will just sign the QO.

Unfortunately the mode often underrates/overrates certain players. Gilbert Arenas is a good example. The potential rating is also bloated as hell. (Good thing the PC mod makers are pretty good. With a tool I was able to reduce the potentials of everyone and force all the ugly generated D-League players to retire (the D-League is actually pretty fun to play with, they sign free agents when the computer generated players retire)).

Whoops. Got off topic there...

I really like K-Love too. Sturdy industrious worker who'll definitely have a long career. If we can't get anyone significant in 2012, we can still resign decent players to short term deals. We'd be a middle of the road team but in 2013 we'd make a big splash (with K-Love and others) and our young ones will be developed more.

I hope DA is burning the midnight oil trying to find a way for us to get Love.  IMO ...landing Love would be bigger a deal than getting CP3 (someone who dislikes us to begin with )

Add a good quality center in with him maybe JSmith and we are back in business.

ohhh...burrrrrr..Ok...I'm awake now.... ;D

I really hope Austin Rivers is not part of the future.

Not really.  Love is a very good player but I think his numbers overestimate his value a bit.  Love would be even more valuable if he could command a double team or was a defensive presence.  But he is still very good.

Paul on the other hand is a game changer.  You take him 100 times out of 100 over Love.

Why in the world would you put this out there without any explanation?  To me, Rivers looks like a kid with a bucketload of talent.

He's easily a better young prospect than anyone on the Cs roster, save Rondo.

Yeah, he definitely has a ton of talent, and I would be happy to have him on the team.

I am not thrilled at the idea of having him coached by his father though.  Its hard enough to balance the egos of these guys under normal circumstances.  When you bring in that extra variable, it has a lot of potential to mess things up chemistry-wise...particularly if they are a young team, with a lot of guys fighting for minutes, and feeling slighted when they don't get them.

So, while I would be happy to have his talent here, all things equal, I would probably prefer to go another way.

I like your dream.  I think Rondo, Rivers, Love, and Asik would be a nice young core.
