Where have I heard that before?

Lose the first quarter by scoring less than 20, bad second, make it close in the third, lose game.

Must´ve been a Detroit Pistons site in 2009.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

These guys....these guys, man.

There's an obvious lack of talent on this roster.  We've got a lot of great roleplayers who would play well with contendors, but nobody to really lead the brigade.

No offense to Rondo, but someone needs to shoulder the scoring load sense Pierce looks incapable

For all the negativity, is there really any doubt that is Rondo played we would have won this game going away?

Phoenix had trouble scoring 80 points and our PGs almost never took Nash to the hole or tried to run a break or push the tempo.

Take away most team's best players when they don't have a second best player that is almost as good as they are, and that team will lose most nights.

My heart is telling me to give it more time.

I've seen this team come back from adversity so many times.

But Father Time is an altogether different opponent...

  • It's all about the TEAM!
They're playing like they know they're going to get blowed up. Very disappointing after making it a good game in the 3rd. But we never scored more than 20 in any quarter and in the end, we look like we've got a bunch of nothing.

Honestly, I'm not sure. :-\

Approaching the first 1/4 of the season, it's pretty much smash the big red panic button. No more of this, "its a small sampling" of the season. What are we gonna do, go on a 20 game win streak? Then if we did back  into the playoffs, what will we be able to do?

tuning in late why no Steamer - only one minute?

  • Rondo = Good

This is true, but I think it points to the greater problem: this team is basically Rondo and a bunch of role players.  Marcin Gortat would seriously be our second best player if he were on this team.  When Rondo isn't on the floor, the Celtics are really bad offensively in a number of ways.  Bottom line, this team is very flawed and lacking in both talent at the top and overall depth.

Not sure you can say that. Was Rondo the reason they got dominated on the boards by the worst rebounding team in the NBA?  Good teams win without their stars. Mediocre and bad teams don't.

If you have not noticed, Doc does not play the kid in the 2nd half. I knew he would go small instead of playing JOs backup.

Like Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are." And 5-9 is not even mediocre. It's bad.
