The smart thing about hiring Quis and Sasha was that training camp could start with enough players to play five-on-five and with players who actually knows Doc's plays. They are not the best around. But how many were available for vet. minimum and 1 year deals?

Sasha was, I believe, hired the same day, they found out about Greens's condition. It was an emergency hiring, since Pierce was struggling with his foot injury.

Besides this, Quis will still have some good games for us.

Pietrus was not available before his trade to Toronto fell through and the Suns let him go. And we still had to wait until last week before he could actually play.

Obviously the only sabotage was by the Dr. that probably saved Jeff Green's life. If you can call it that. Great job to get Pietrus.

Danny is a [a jerk], he knows well he has screwed last season's Perk trade and breaking out the lighter fluid aiming at the big 3. You can't bring in a failing team from last season into the next. Danny didn't create a fit with Jermaine O'neal, plus is so obvious in knowing full well Marquis Daniels hasn't and couldn't backup Pierce. Marquise, who was suppose to be Posey's replacement has hardly been available for playoffs. I came on here bashing Danny for choosing Marquis and Sasha with James Posey and Al Thornton still available. Signing him along with Sasha Pavolic was not only asinine but calculated. What bugs me about Ainge is he watched Lakers sign Artest and never thought it was their Posey type even after he did exactly what Posey did by playing huge in the Finals. Recently Shane Battier was signed by the Heat. Am I to believe Danny is this stupid that he believed Daniels and Sasha could handle the many small forwards who've killed the C's early on? Our 1st win wasn't until Paul returned from injury, which says a whole lot about the backups. He wants to trade the Big 3, not consider it. He expressed it before many times, doing it in this fashion is pure(Plaxico) self inflicted. Even if there is a solid plan after the trade moves, it doesn't take away from the failure to successfully replace the pieces(bench) of a championship driven team most recently.

In a workplace setting, sabotage is the conscious withdrawal of efficiency generally directed at causing some change in workplace conditions. One who engages in sabotage is a saboteur.

paragraphs...they're not just for breakfast anymore.

also, not sure exactly what points we are supposed to take away from this.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He's actually got a couple points.  Ainge did fail to replace several of those important hustle/Ubuntu guys like Posey, Powe, Tony, and there was the infamous epic fail that was the 08 off-season.  Also, Danny did say he was satisfied with the SF position before he knew Pietrus was going to take the minimum.  I personally was pretty unsatisfied with the prospect of Marquis and Sasha going into the season, especially when the better of the two isn't even a true 3.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
