  • It's all about the TEAM!
Although part of me feels its warranted (and necessary) to see it, as the time has come for these rumors to be more rampant and even very possible...

It really hurts to read it.  :'(

The Lakers aren't giving up Gasol for Pierce.  It will never happen.  No chance.

I wouldn't be so sure about it. Have you seen the Lakers this year? They are dysfunctional. Kobe has played like 50k career minutes or something crazy like that and they can't rest him. Mike Brown doesn't have the offensive brain to be able to help the team score when Kobe's off the court. Also, the whole Kobe, Pau, Bynum relationship is completely flamed out as far as on and off court chemistry. The Lakers' Offense is as bad as the C's this year.

This would be one of the most heartbreaking things I can think of ... to see The Truth in purple and gold, playing alongside Kobe, against the Celtics.

This can NOT happen ... of all the players who have graced the parquet since Bird left, Paul Pierce is the one that we should make sure retires as a Celtic.

Wow ... what a nightmare scenario, and all for the sake of a roll of the dice in the future?!?

The Lakers aren't giving up Gasol for Pierce.  It will never happen.  No chance.  Now if it was Pierce and Scola for Gasol, I could certainly see them making that trade.

With that in mind, do all the parties do this trade:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7g6flb8

Fakers get: Pierce and Scola
Rockets get: Gasol and Bradley
Cs get: Kevin Martin, Thabeet, TWill and Ebanks.

Our lineup looks like this:

RR/DoolingMoore
RA/KMartin/Marquis
Pietrus/TWill/Ebanks
KG/Bass/JJJ
JO/Stiemsma/Thabeet

Dump Sasha

This keeps us competitive now with Martin and some possible pieces for the future in TWill, Ebanks and Thabeet. If two of those three younguns pan out, we should be happy,,especially with our two 1st rounders this year.

Lakers do this.
Rockets do this.
C's do not do this.
