still no backup PG

someone mentioned this already but I thought it was a good topic

how is it possible that we STILL don't have a legit backup PG on the roster?  when was the last one we had?  Cassell?

Doc let us know that Dooling was better as a SG, same with Avery, and Moore is now the defacto PG? sharing the duties with Avery?

just seems like Danny could have found someone late in the 2nd round at some point that would have served as a decent backup option in the last 3-4 years, but oh well

I might get "STONED" for saying this , but we are better off without Dooling. Frankly he sucks and doesn't even have the excuse of being a rookie, I'm scared silly every time he touchs the ball, High dribble style is is going to get his pocket picked. I'would rather see Moore and AB deveolop.  I see huge strides in their work compared to Dooling who shouldn't be in the NBA.
I feel better now I got this anti Dooling thing off my chest., been bothering me a long time.... D West was good backup IMO...oH well

Andre Miller is not happy in Denver.

There was talk of him being dealt to the Fakers.

Not only would he be a phenomenal backup to Rondo, but we could also give him minutes at the 2 to backup Ray. (His big complaint in Denver is minutes). He also would be great Rondo insurance in case something like the Kleiza takedown puts RR out for an extended period.

 His midrange/short jumper is money both off the dribble and coming off picks. Not great at the 3 ball,though. Tough, wily veteran who still plays good D, even at his age. Could give us 25-30 minutes at the 1/2.

Tough to match his $$ though in a trade.

Any ideas?

Miller...good Idea! would be great to have along side Bass and Pie. Those three would finally give us an  2nd team that could hold its own and take big minutes from the three old guys. Throw in Steim and AB/Moore and thats a decent bench of 5 .

Just not sure how you get him either.  


Maybe we could fleece em and trade off Dooling ?

Doolings career numbers suck he was not always playing on very good teams either. I am tired of people saying that Marshon Brooks is no good because he plays on the Nets. Nate Robinson and Delonte are both playing good ball right now. Von Wafer even! Any of these guys are better than Dooling.

He does _exactly_ the same thing in Denver and plays 28 minutes per contest. He hasn't complained about minutes, he simply said that he doesn't plan to come back to Denver next season, because he wants to start. Not happening in Boston.

As sad as it is, Daniels is our best back-up point guard at this time.  At least it gives him a use on this roster, though

I think that backing up RR and Ray and playing with this veteran group might be more palatable to him than backing up Ty Lawson. Could be wrong, though, but would love to have him and his toughness here.

Yeah Bynum would be great as a backup to Rondo.

Sadly I fully expect Dumars to ask for Rondo in return, based on how he's valued his players in the past.
