Ray can still shoot but that's about it at this point. Contributes in no other way. Having said that, his shooting has been so excellent that's he been valuable, but expect that to regress to the mean.

his shooting opens a lot of other things up....

-his ability to go by defenders due to the threat of an outside shot

- keeps his defender honest, as they cant collapse or help on other celtics

- he constantly moves without the ball and runs off screens, which rotates the D and creates mismatches off scree

dont thank me....im talking about ray's value, not trying to validate anything u say. i agree with u about ray's value and i want him to stay with the celts, but ur over the top with pierce and kg

It's funny our CAPTAIN of the CELTICS PAUL PIERCE has the 4th most All STAR votes...lol...RONDO, ALLEN, GARNETT, all have at least double the votes....wow...that tells me something about how Pierce is valued and perceived....he is a rump!

Ray's skill set and contract my make him the only trade-able player of the big three.

In '09 when Ray was slumping people on this board were acting like it was mandatory that Ray be traded.

Now people are arguing that Ray should be traded b/c he's the only guy that is playing well and of value.

Are you asserting that the Celtics should consider this? If so, that is a terrible idea.
