Supposedly the Wizards are interested in trading him.  I wonder if he could be had for Jermaine O'Neal and E'twan Moore.  Maybe we would have to throw in a protected 1st rounder, but first I would offer a couple of 2nd rounders.  What do you think?
At 6'11" 260, he could sure start at Center for us.  And at 25, he could be Rondo's running mate for the future as well.  Is that offer enough to get him?
Mock Deadline Denver Nuggets
Nurcic/Henson
Patterson/Bennett/Arthur
Ross/Budinger
Miller/Hunter/Foye
Rubio/Ennis/Bayless

No on every level.  He is talented but a dumb player and selfish.  Having said that, what in the world would wash want with JO (who's done) and Moore (who never will be)?

Washington might deal Blatche straight up for an expiring contract.

His trade value will be very low and he has a long term deal with four years left on it. An expiring contract  is a reasonable offer.

Blatche is only earning $6.4 million this year. $7.1 the next (C's can still offer max contract).

I'd like to see what Blatche can do outside of that mad-house in Washington. He might surprise us and turn into a solid player.

It's not that large a financial risk.

Blatche would only need to become a serviceable starting center or high level backup big man to earn that contract. Both are achievable with a little growth.

Just agreed with you in the other thread. I share these sentiments.

We should try to get him.

  • Rondo = Good
however much he might improve the team, it would not be worth unleashing that plague in the locker room.

plus, he's been terrible so far this season, indicating that he's very out of shape.

He's the central cause and focus of that mad-house.  A non-Celtic in every way.

I would love to see us trade JO for just about anything.  If the Wiz are getting desparate, let's certainly take advantage of them and try and get Blatche!  Has he EVER really had good coaching?  Probably not.  He will NOT pull those antics next to KG and Ray and PP!!!

Also, I live just outside of Charlotte and with DJ White playing so well, I bet that tight-wad Michael Jordan would love to get out from the long-term contract of oft-injured Tyrus Thomas!!  Some else mentioned him.  Honestly, JO would help them and also provide almost immediate cap room next year.  Sure, it would probably take JJJ or Moore or one of our first rounders, but why not do it.  We need athletism.

I would prefer Blatche as he is a better scorer and God knows we need that in the post badly.
