Therefore wont it take a while for paul and this mad old team to get in game shape? The old guys need to catch up with the youngsters, but once they do we will win ball games.

old guys are just old.  They get tired quicker and they get injured more often..

Stick a fork in this team.  I love them but it's time to turn the page.  Thanks fellas for the past 4 years.

Rondo is fast becoming a wasted young talent surrounded by a bunch of old has-been in this team. More than 30 mins PT for each of the Old Three! You gotta be kidding me Doc. They don't have it anymore. Make them "bench" players to be efficient or let one start and never let them play all together. They are being challenged by young players who behave with total disregard of what they have been and achieved in their careers. They are losing respect despite being future HOFers.

Worse, Rondo cannot do his thing because PP is the captain and that the decision to offensive patterns obviously rests on PP when he is on the floor. This is a similar situation when PP was playing alongside Antoine Walker. Both wanted to lead and be the go-to-guy of the team so DA shipped the latter so that PP's talent and skills will be maximized. And this paid off positively.

I agree with the part about playing young guys more and not playing the big three all at the same time. I dont think Rondo is being wasted, though. And I dont think he will be since I have faith Danny will do what needs to be done to put a solid team together next year.

Playing alongside 3 future HOFers is difficult especially once your talent and excellent capabilities are noticed by pundits and fans. More so, if you get chosen as an All-Star yet you cannot freely do your thing in your own team. Somehow, Rondo's leadership and play won't realize its full potential if he keeps on getting observed under the microscope and almost always compared to the performance of the Old Three. It's like Magic taking over the team on Kareem's presence which the Celts organization must take direction. It wouldn't it hurt much, I guess, to the future HOFers if Rondo takes over and loses a lot of games since they will surely be HOFers.

I do hope though Rondo's talents won't get wasted.

I just feel like Doc really needs to start to shake the starting line-up now and inject a few younger guys in...Big 3 ain't cutting it anymore.

If by early Feb we are still under .500, Doc should consider CHANGE.   Big 3 Ain't Big anymore.

It was pretty sorry listening to KG's post-game comments (excuses) last night--how tough it is to win, how tough Dallas is, etc..

Then I realized that not only have all three of the 'Big Three' spent the majority of their professional lives on losing teams.

Then it sunk in as to how rare it is to have three individuals like that at all, who have made into the hundreds of millions of dollars primarily leading losing efforts, let alone standing together like that leading a losing effort.

While we can and probably will play better, it won't be by much.  But in all likelihood, this is it.  Danny had this year ear-marked a few years back, so now may well be the time to dismantle.

My guess though is that they will stick with this group for the year, add whatever pieces might become available, and see if they can make a run in the playoffs...assuming they can get there.

We all knew this time would come, assuming it has indeed come...just painful to watch.
