As of right now how does it look for who makes the All Star game for the Celtics....My Eastern Conference team is as follows:

Starters:
PG-Derrick Rose
SG-Dwayne Wade
SF-Carmelo Anthony
PF-Lebron James
C-Dwight Howard

Reserves:
G-Rajon Rondo
G-Joe Johnson
F-Amare Stoudemire
F-Chris Bosh
C-Tyson Chandler
utility- Ray Allen
utility- Al Horford..

snubs::Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce,Josh Smith, Deron Williams, Danny Granger, D.J. Augustine.

what's everyone's thoughts..it looks like the only shoe in is going to be Rajon Rondo....what does everyone else think....

I guess nobody has any opinions....Obviously these are how the picks are right now, very early in the season....For me it's going to come down to Deron Williams or Ray Allen.....Deron is shooting 34% from the field 27% from 3....how does that signify an All Star, not to mention on a brutal team....and throw in almost 5 turnovers a game...unless he makes it in as a fan pick(starter), i can't see him making it....we already will have 2 point guards with Rose and Rondo??  I think Pierce will play his way on in the next couple of weeks, but he is shooting 38 percent from the field and averaging 15 points a game...only a small sample size however...and KG just plain stinks...he is not an all star..good 6th man however on a good team!!

  • Rondo = Good
I think Rondo may very well be the only one who gets in, unless Ray continues to play the way he has (unlikely).

Completely agree....Rondo could be the only one that gets in...especially if were not one of the top 4 teams....if were just a .500 team we don't deserve more than one guy...I hope Rondo doesn't lose out to that fatso Deron Williams...like I said why would they want 3 point guards for an All Star Game..??

Rondo, and maybe Ray/Pierce depending on if they keep the hot shooting going, or bounce back to last year with some more games.

KG isn't going to get in this year unless he starts rebounding and scoring at rates at least as good as last year.

The funny thing is that the guard position other than DWade and DRose is anything that is really appealing...Ray as of now definetly deserves it!!  but can he keep up the pace...??? Maybe the C's don't get any all stars??  The league is sick of them...lol...Joe Johnson doesn't do it for me either?? he is a good player but not an all star, cmon??

I don't even see Rondo as a definite right now.  Rose and Deron have bigger names as PGs.  If the C's get it in gear before the all star game, they might get one member as an all-star

I think both Pierce and Ray have a better shot than Joe Johnson (I think), but I don't see KG in there

I think Ray can beat out Deron Williams and Joe Johnson. Not a very good start for either of them and Ray's shooting 63.4% from downtown. Of course this is mostly a popularity contest so who knows.

I like your list, but i dont think that Tyson Chandler and Joe Johnson will make it.
Tyson isnt a All star at all. Would be surprised if he made the team.
Joe Johnson has been playing crappy this year, Ray may make it over him.
But Josh Smith deserves it over Joe.

And i dont consider D.J Augustin a snub. He isnt a elite guard in the East lol haha

Tyson just got 20 points tonight!!  I just watched the nets and hawks game....Josh Smith was the best player on the court...Johnson is a nice player, and I'm sorry, Deron Williams is very overrated(6-17 shooting the ball)and had 6 turnovers...I'm not sold on him as an all star...who knows...and how the hell are they going to vote Deron williams in if the Nets are 7-25 at the all star break...lol...

Funny how Ray has usually been the last man in during his time here until this season.

Only way we'd have more than 2 players in the all-star is if someone gets injured.. But I'm we'd have at least 2 - Rondo and Ray/Paul.. KG? Iffy.. Doesn't matter anyways, people only want to see James, Wade, Howard, Melo and Rose.. I'll just root for Ray in the three-point shootout, hope he finally wins it as a Celtic!
