Maybe not now, but later in the season around March 17 or something.

He has important history here (see 2008) and can back up Ray Allen and Paul Pierce if needed.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

No, Dooling has been hitting his shots well enough that Eddie wouldn't add anything.

The team really needs Pierce to not have bad nights from the wing and Pietrus to come give us something offensively from that spot.

Daniels has been a huge negative offensively, and if he and Pierce both have bad games its going to be tough for the C's to score much.

Exactly.  If we are going to add anyone at this point, it would be someone who can create offense, not just a spot shooter.

Oh, I agree.  But we already have Dooling, Pietrus, along with Pierce and Allen who both have become more spot up shooters than they were in 2007.  Also, Bass, Stiemsma, and KG are also shooters (to some degree).

I think this team has the shooters, what they need is playmakers.  Beyond Rondo, and Pierce on occasion, they really do not have guys who can consistently make plays.  So, if they are going to make a move, it would be for someone like that IMO.

I will also add that I don't think things are as bad as they look at the moment, and I don't think the C's desperately need another playmaker.

Like you said, it worked with spot-up shooters before, and that was because the C's played a shorter rotation, and those guys were playing with Rondo and Pierce a lot.

Right now, the C's are dealing with the schedule, which means that they are playing the second unit on their own much more than they will in the playoffs.  Come playoff time, when Rondo is playing 40 minutes per game, and Pierce is on the floor pretty much any time Rondo isn't, the need for more playmakers will be dramatically less.

But as far as holes to fill, that would be the hole they would be looking for, over another spot up shooter.

regarding the OP's question: no to House.  If they bring in anyone else for scoring, it has to be someone that can create their own shots.  They have enough spot up shooters and House doesn't have the consistency he used to have.

Unless we have a few injuries I don't believe Eddie would ever see the floor and if he did it would be taking away garbage time from one of the youngsters. Also Eddie cannot backup Ray & Paul, he's a SG in a PG body.

I think it depends on injuries and how this team looks in a few months, if House is still available, I'd give him a call.

Maybe I'm just holding out that Eddie Casa can regain some of his form from 2008...

I don't think Eddie House is the same person as he was in 2008.
He's smaller.  Doesn't want to listen to coaches anymore. He's white. Need I go on?

I would rather see those minutes go to Avery Bradley.

If he could play I would be all for it.   Could he better than Bradley?   They are apples and oranges.   One defends and one does not.

Trade Clips 1st, NJs 2nd, JO and Bradley to Cleveland for Varejao.

Then I'd say House and Przybilla would both be worth a look.
