I would be curious to see whether West would be going there if he actually won the championship.  I have a feeling things would be different.

I think there are a lot of hoops that need to be jumped through for any felon to get into the White House.  There is no doubt it can be done, but I am guessing there is a lot of extra red tape to get them cleared by the secret service.  And considering he was not actually on the team last year, there was no reason to go through that hassle for the White House, for the Mavs, and even for West.

You guys seem like you fail to realize that, not only is West a felon but he is BIPOLAR! He can go off at a drop of a dime! He is on medication right now to control it! You can just pull up his Twitter history and realize that he still struggles with it even though he's on meds! I'm not arguing that other questionable characters don't get into the White House but when you talk about Jay-z and Common, you are talking about WORDS! In Jay-Z's case, if he did stab someone or w/e, I'm pretty sure it happened when he was a CHILD... name something you know he has done in the past 17 or so years he has been in the public eye, DWest is struggling with mental issues now!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Isn't Delonte actually on Probation for the concealed weapons charges.  Isn't that why he couldn't play overseas because he needs permission to travel places and his P. O. would not let him. Seems to me like a legit reason for keeping him from participating in White House Ceremonies where he wasn't even one of the ring winners.

When you do stupid things, you have to deal with the consequences.

On top of that, why would a player that was not on the team last year be invited this year?  They were not part of the title.
