I had to post this one - via Mavs beat writer, Dwain Price.

“I’m banned from going to the White House, so I’m not going to make it,’’ West said after tonight’s 96-81 win over the New Orleans Hornets. “But I’m going home to D.C., I’m just not allowed to go to the White House.

“That’s what happens when you make bad decisions in your life. You can’t go to the White House.’’

“I’ve been there 100 times in my lifetime,’’ said West, who was born in D.C. “I live right around the corner.

“I live in D.C. It’s going to be a shame the President isn’t going to get a chance to meet me. I’m the president of my house.’’

Still miss you here in Boston, West.

it may be for when he got arrested for carrying a shotgun and 2 pistols in his motorcycle? that or he may have more to  his  criminal record.

He was playing Lorenzo Lamas a la "Renegade"! Maybe he was reprising "Mad Max" or something?! LOL

Really though, he was caught with like three guns on him, one (a shotgun) was in a guitar case slung over his shoulder while he was riding a 3 wheeled motorcycle (maybe that's more like "Tron" but with guns?)... he was supposedly going after someone who threatened him or something. So, in short, he's a felon (plead guilty)!

I hope everyone reads this and realizes that most of what you think about the situation isn't true. I find this a much more probable explanation, ESPECIALLY since he made the police officers aware of his weapons the very second they made the stop.

He was not on the team that won it anyways what does it matter.

sooooo when every nfl and nba team visits the white house every year...theyre all perfect citizens who have perfect mental conditions and have never been in trouble? this makes no sense, although he doesnt actually deserve to go, he was knocked out of the playoffs with us against the heat, not winning it all with the mavericks so overall a non issue

Agreed. Although I'm sure he isn't the only criminal that is in and around the White House. But rules are rules.
