This is what I think could work..

JO- 22
KG- 28
PP-30
RA-32
RR-35

Bench
Bass 30
Pietrus 26
Dooling 13
Wilcox 16
Daniels 8

I'd love to see the Rookies and Bradley but really I think they don't need to play them that much.  I guess on back to backs it would be good to cut everyones minutes a bit and give them a shot.  As much as I want to see them develop (especially bradley and JJ) it just doesn't make a lot of sense this year as they will be a top 5 seed in the East.

Overall though this Bench looks to be the most professional and skilled we've had maybe since the big 3 came together.

Pietrus is going to be a huge asset in the playoffs as he will be able to cover Wade, Bron, Deng etc for short spurts yet still allow us to space the floor.  With Tony Allen in the past he provided the D but with him and Rondo on the court at the same time the spacing shrunk and the offense went stagnant..

Just need to acquire another quality big with some bulk and a little post game..

Team looks good and deep

Has there been any more news on PIE (Pietrus)? I haven't heard a thing since the "two week" time-frame.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Agreed he can, but with the scheduling his age etc and the way he plans running off screens the whole game, why not take it easy on him and have him play fresh the entire game if possible.

Rondo- 34
Ray-30
Pierce- 32
KG- 28
JO- 20

Dooling- 16
Bradley- 10
Pietrus- 14
Bass- 30
Stiemsma- 12

Daniels- 8
Wilcox- 6

I like that a lot. I feel like Stiemsma is a player that provides more than Wilcox because of his size, shot blocking, and that little jumper. But i still feel that Wilcox will be important... especially since JO is JO.

Pietrus will undoubtedly take away minutes from not only Marquis, but will also effectively eliminate all of Sasha's minutes.

Dooling - Bradley - Pietrus - Garnett - Stiemsma as a "backup" unit could be borderline dominant defensively. Not to mention when KG eventually comes back in for either Dooling or Bradley.

E'Twaun and JaJuan will be fun to watch once they start to figure stuff out, but regardless they are definitely mature kids if something happens and they are forced into bigger roles.

Rondo- Dooling- Moore
Allen- Bradley- Daniels
Pierce- Pietrus- Pavlovic
Garnett- Bass- Johnson
O'Neal- Stiemsma- Wilcox

That's how i see the pecking order.

btw here's my Pietrus mix to get people excited for him :)

I don't know much about him , hope he can still jump and has speed like that video.

Don't need another short cripple guy  that can't jump ie . BBD

Like to transplant Bass's brain into Jeff Greens body.

JJ and Moore will be in D league. sasha get a towel ready also depending on who comes available he could be in clothes
Stiemsma has played well enough that he deserves minutes, imo he has outplayed ONeil & Wilcox so far.  To me with the crazy schedule this year I'd like to see everyone be kept at 30 mpg or under (kg, jo).  I am not sure the team can go with rondo at 35 or so minutes though
strong deep team danny built which is good for mass amount of games jammed in
I think it will be interesting to see what doc does with backup sg minutes, dooling add shooting compared to daniels but daniels is a matchup issue for most teams
Doc has a luxury this season if everyone stays healthy.  If we are healthy I'd like to see (once everyone is running on all cylinders) all starters get a game off.  KG needs a break a starting lineup of: rondo, ray, bass, pp and jo is a good team.  We looked good enough with ray out a game.  PP can be replaced for a game with daniels or pietrus. etc

  • Rondo = Good
Pierce won't play fewer than 34 minutes a game.  Probably more like 35.

Ray might stay as low as 32.  Hopefully.  Doc seems to not mind letting him run around for 36+ some nights.

I imagine Pietrus will play around 15 minutes a night, maybe as much as 20 sometimes.

Not too sure about that. He's been at 34 the last couple of years, but that this with more frequent rest in between games. The condensed schedule should allow his MPG to drop. He's at 28 MPG, now and think he'll be around 32 MPG eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a player routinely sit out a night (not just JO).

Bradley...he's growing on me.  Those quick hands/feet on defense are potent.  He hit a spot-up 3 the other day.  That's pretty much good enough for 1st half minutes to keep starters fresh for the 2nd half.  No 4th quarter fades.

yeah, blowout games might lower his per game average, but in games that matter, Pierce and Ray will continue to play 35+ minutes.  that's just how Doc operates.

Minutes and rotation will totally depend on who's injuried that week. With a team this old there is bound to be someone out pretty much all the time.

Doc has already said that they're targeting 32-33 minutes for Pierce and Allen, and 28-30 for Garnett, IIRC.
