People make a lot of overreaching comparisons. Stiemsma was compared to Russell. Bradley has been called the team's best defender. The issue is whether or not these kids can consistently perform.

I don't recall Ainge calling Pruitt the best perimeter defender on the team. Given that we've had Rondo, Posey and Tony Allen on Ainge-managed teams, such a statement is highly unlikely.

I think both of them have limited potential.

Johnson is athletic and has good range. But if he can't put on more weight, as most people already pointed out, he'll be bullied by other power forward. He has very poor ball handling skills, so won't be able to play small forward either. For those reasons his offense will mostly come from mid range jumper, or going to the basket without the ball, if he play with a guard like Nash. His athleticism can still make him a good team defender.

He's either the next Hakim Warrick or Jared Jeffries.

I watched both with interest . , so all I can offer is an initial reaction. They weren't in there playing LBJ and Wade. So they were playing against scrubs and not facing the fire .

I thought Moore shows the most immediate promise and poise.  His youth and speed need to be harnessed.  He has a nice shot and should be better than with time than AB easily. He has confidence it seems .  Very important.

Johnson looked like a lost ball in high weeds. The game seemed to move faster than him. Just don't know ...Jonson doesn't move as gracefully as Jeff Green.  If we could only get Green to assert himself like B . Bass.....

I need to see alot more of both.

I think they are 2 players who have not really gotten a chance.  As for JJJ....  Everytime i see him on the court I feal bad because the players with the ball are more about impressing the coaching staff then playing as a team.  There are countless times where he will set a pick and then role but the ball does not come his way.

This happened at least 4 times last night in the last 3 minutes and twice,I think in one possession.

 As for JJJ ...... As for the size thing I agree 1000% I think he is built and his style of play is more suited as a SF ( K.Durant, Reshard Lewis type) for the NBA. I dont think he is capable of putting to 20 to 30 pounds that he needs to play PF in this league.  I would love for them to convert him to a SF because thats where I think he  can be more successful in this league.

He can shoot and run and finish, maybe his niche will be at small forward. He is more than athletic enough.

I expect it would be even worse in the d-league. He will likely be playing with a bunch of young wings with something to prove.

On the top end, my gut suggests Moore's ceiling is Kevin Gamble/7th man on a pretty good team.

Johnson will depend entirely on his defense.  He must become a solid team defender and quick, aggressive man-defender.  Even w/o ball handling skills, he could be as solid as a Tayshaun Prince on the high side, and Waltah McCarty might be a mid-range projection.  Needs to get in the zone defensively, though.

Going forward either could play nicely next to JGreen, Bass, and an aging Pierce.possibly KG and Ray, too?  For Pierce's last 2 years?  Maybe KG, too?  

How long can this keep going if these young guys develop by playing spot minutes this year, and are ready to step in and play rotation minutes next year?  

Can they combine with Bradley, Bass, and Green to prop open the window for reasonably short money?

I love getting overexcited about rookies...it's the only thing I missed about the early years of Danny's reign.
