I see your point but I am fine having no one on the bench that can create their own shot. If that means that ball movement is better, then the Celtics will be more efficient anyway.

If the 2nd unit really gets in a rut, you can always play Pierce with them.

The Celtics, both first and second units, are at their best when the ball is hopping left to right and ends up in the open guys hands.

Bass can shoot, Dooling can shoot, Pietrus can shoot heck even Steimsma can shoot, Wilcox when healthy can get a quick post up score or 2.

I dont want a "ball sticks in his hands" kind of player on the Celtics anymore. As our stars become less able to take over by themselves, the more they will have to rely on ball movement and teamwork to get good looks, and this team is capable fo doing so.

I'm not convinced that Nate can create his own shot.  He's getting a bit slower as he gets older, too, and there is no way at all he can play in traffic any more (at 5'9").  He's pretty much limited to wide-open jumpers, IMO.

He's just a side show.  Always has been, even at his best.

I have noticed some fans can't get past players out of their heads
bring back:
posey, al jefferson, delonte, gerald green  , and even nate

so in the end the knicks deal leaves walker as a backup sf, what did we get for landry?

Hard to have a 5'9" sg if you don't have a big PG.  One trick ponies won't help this team.

TP.  Fair enough.  I think we will be able to re-assess the situation a little better now that Pierce is back in the lineup when we try to play those top tier teams again.  The bench looked much worse in the first three games then the last three games
