Even though the free agency is weak, we can still a splash with cap space and look at those who aren't resigning. I'm curious as to what's available and what can happen because the free agency lists look horrendous.

I don't know what Minnesota are doing with Kevin Love but if they screw that up he's definitely the top target.

Brandon Bass looks like a good resigning for us. He seems to be playing well here.

Can we covet DeMarcus Cousins? Another sub par season to top off all the stuff that just happened might allow us to make a move at him.

  • Rondo = Good
i maintain that if anything exciting happens this coming off-season for the Celtics, it will be around draft night when Danny tries to make a deal to move into the top 5 and grab a star.

otherwise, it'll probably be KG retiring, Ray signing with a contender, and Danny collecting young unprovens / veteran castoffs to fill out the roster to prepare for the long rebuild.

Danny with cap space...could be interesting.

And several possible sign-and-trades?

Anything is possible.

I think it will be other teams calling Danny, rather than the other way around.

Sell cap space for picks (we take player X and his contract, get a pick)?

Danny could load up on assets like crazy.  Free agency doesn't look so good...

Kaman's my pick for a FA signing.

I'm losing hope of Boston ever getting a Superstar that isn't on his death bed or 40 years old. , unless though the draft , like PP or Rondo.  Might as well take a fall hit rock bottom  and play the lottery for next 5 years and see if we can luck out and draft a decent player or two.

Maybe the stars will align right in the next few years and make it possible to finally get some heathly young talent who are more interested in basketball than moviestars and weather. ::)
But I an't holding my breath.
