I know, I know, it's too early for these kinds of predictions but I just can't help it (plus I'm bored here at work). After a few games, I think it's pretty much clear to see what our current team can do and what we can expect for the season. DA has reeled in a great catch in Bass  ;D and Rondo continues to improve and dazzle. The big three has slowed down a bit, but they are still some of the best players in the league. So, will our core four make it to the All-Star game again? Will any of the Celtics win an individual player award? Here are my predictions:
All-Star game : Rondo and Pierce -
Ray and KG might be snubbed in favor of Wall, Granger, DWill, DWest, Josh Smith, etc. but they might get some votes because this might be their last
Three Point Shootout : Ray Allen (who else? I hope he finally wins one as a Celtic)
Most Improved Player / Sixth Man : Brandon Bass - stiff competition here , but Doc likes him so much and he produces very well.
All Defensive Team : Rondo (1st) , KG (3rd)
All NBA Team : Rondo (3rd)
Assists Leader : Rondo  - Nash is old, CP3 can throw all the lobs he wants but the Clippers don't have too many weapons like our shooters. DWill simply doesn't have anyone to pass to.

Blocks Leader/Rookie of th Year : Greg Stiemsma! (OK, now I'm dreaming)

What do you guys think?

  • Rondo = Good
I think Rondo and Pierce will probably make the All-Star team.  Right now, Ray is playing like an All-Star, but I can't imagine he'll keep up the current pace.  KG could still get voted into the starting lineup this year, but I doubt he'll really deserve it over Bosh / Amare.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

The East team looks pretty set with rose-wade-james-stoudemire-howard.. Only way KG gets voted in is if he averages a double-double.. Ray and KG's chances to be reserves look slim unless there'd be injuries.. But I'd love to see the four in the all-star game one last time..
