Comcast/League Pass question (stranded without my Celtics!)

Anyone else have the League Pass through Comcast outside of Boston/New England?

We just moved to Tallahassee and got Comcast set up.

With unpacking a whole house going on, I was just going to wait to sign up for the League Pass since they're on that 2-week free preview.

But when I set up the DVR to tape the BOS/WAS game tonight on Comcast Channel 751, I got a message that said the game was blacked out

Anyone else get this outside of Boston? I just spent an hour on the phone trying to get an answer from Comcast and the manager's answer was "the NBA does what the NBA wants".... which seems both infuriating and plausible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've yet to see a full game with the move and am Celtics-starved!!!

Same thing happened to me when I went on vacation. Its not just the C's games either, it seems like a couple games each night get blacked out

Yeah i couldn't get the GSW/PHO or SA/MIN games yesterday eitehr.... Any idea if this is a new thing this season? Or is this a comcast issue?

Never had this issue with Dish NEtwork.

Did you check NBATV? In my experience if a game is blacked out its cuz its on somewhere else.

Same issue now that I am closer to NY in New Haven CT area no more Celts for me .

When I was in Central CT I was fine but now I passed the line to Knicks Nets country no more C's all online for me  .

Idiots @ Crapcast said not their issue NBA is doing it.

I've had DirecTV for the past 10 years and have never missed a C's game.

Here's how it works...

If the game is on "National TV" (i.e. NBATV, ESPN, ABC, TNT, etc..) then it is blacked out on Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE).

I much prefer to watch the game on CSNNE as I have a hard time listening to anyone that isn't Mike & Tommy, but it's just not possible when games are on National Television.

There are also a few sneaky things to learn. I believe the Detroit Pistons are showcased on FoxSportsNet Detroit, in which case CSNNE gets blacked out.

The first game of the Celtics/Wizards home and home back-to-back was on NBATV, so it was blacked out on CSNNE.

Any questions feel free to PM me anytime, but take comfort in knowing that if you have DirecTV you will never miss a C's game.

IP - are you using Direct TV? Dish? comcast?

I never had a blackout issue with Dish (execpt for ORL-BOS games since we were 150 miles from ORL), but tonight MEM-SAC is blacked out too... .it seems to be a Comcast issue.

I know that blackouts happen when there's a game on National channels (including NBA TV) but that's not the case here.... these are multiple games "blacked out" in any given night that aren't on a national channel AND that I'm no where near blackout areas for...

I hate to go to Direct TV b/c they screwed me before... I was hoping we could just go with Comcast b/c they have our internet service.
