Yep, I mentioned it in a thread yesterday, "They just stole a play from the Celtics".

Very similar.  A bit more of a screen on the Miami play.

Funny, the Heat wanted Doc to coach and since they couldn't get him they decided just to steel his plays...

I think Doc should start charging Riley every time they win with one of his plays.

Pretty cool that I was at that game in south beach. Such a fun night will never forget that game! Pierce threw me his towel that game what a night my girl and I spent down there, but thought it was funny how Lebron is trying to say all the right things now.

Yea. If your going to steal final plays from someone there isn't many better than Doc.

  • Rondo = Good
Yeah, can't blame Spoelstra for taking down notes on plays that other teams use against him effectively.

you learn from losses, and for them, it was Rondo who won the game with the last second alley-oop

a great coach leanrns from mistakes and others

Spoelstra is one of those as only good as his players coaches.   He doesn't bring much to the table in X and O's.  Throw to Wade and LeBron and pretending your coaching.  He mangled the guy crying statement last year too.

not as good of a pass as the one to rondo, but its wade catching it so it was going in anyway
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Slight differences...

Rondo's was more of a spread where Ray went to the top of the key for a bailout inbound as the second option and Baby floods to the corner. It's also notable that Scal kept his man out of the paint.

Wade cut off a double staggered screen (as Roy mentioned.)

I like Doc's play better because it took the help defenders away from the ball.

Spoelstra had the screeners closer to the paint, which alowed more of a possibility for help defense.

In both cases the defense was sleeping. Priority #1 on any sideout/inbounds is to protect the rim.

That is quite an analysis huzy! Nice one bud.

I too do prefer Doc's, if not for anything else, the pass was lobbed inch and time perfect to the right of the rim.

It couldn't have been in Rondo's hands for more than 0.4 seconds.

That was hilarious "...theres a lot of tears and a lot of guys crying in the locker room right now"
lol looking like he himself had just cried as well.
