the writing is on the wall; KG is FINISHED!

KG 16/10/3 with a +15 that was no fluke. When he was out there the C's played better as a team. He held Dirk to 16/7/4.

He showed a lack of jumping ability and that he's lost a step but finished??

I don't get how you can say that after watching this game. His defense was really good.

KG isn't done, but it's pretty clear that at this point he's not at all a high energy player, and at best he treads water as a rebounder.  He's an above average defender at his position, a below average rebounder, an above average jumpshooter, and an okay finisher inside (with little to no back-to-the-basket offense).  In short, he's about 1/4 the player he once was.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

he's never been able to guard Nowitzki.. KG's gonna be fine he looked more confident taking his shot tonight, we need to see more of that.

  • I love the Celtics
He's not done, but man he looks a bit slow at times with little to no lift!

I was watching the wrong last two minutes?  Did KG not miss a totally WIDE OPEN shot and then lose the ball when driving for what should have been a layup, or two free throws, or a three point attempt???

It looked like the Celtics vs. the Mavs, but I might have gotten the wrong game:-))

KG is average. He is no longer the "KG." He is probably a starter-level player still, but not anyone who can hang with the better power forwards in the league.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

KG, PP, RA are not done. They are still good players; they are just not the same players they were back in 2008 cause they are about 4 years older and they were already not spring chickens back in 2008. Time has taken its toll on their not so young legs. They can all play the game; they are just a little older, and time is a killer. Thats all.  :'(

The old KG is done, if you will, since now we've got the old KG.

I agree. TP.    I still love watching the C's though.

KG looked good last night. Played very good d on dirk. Probably the best I've seen him defensively all year and he was matched up with dirk for long stretches. He wasn't to god offensively but got to the line 8 times which shows he was aggressive and for kg lets get real ghats a lot of free throws for him. He didn't shoot well but some of those open jumpers will usually go in. Y

Yeah he missed a bunny and have up an offensive rebound but it never should have got to that in the first place. KG had to basically play Dirk in an iso every time down the flour in the last half of the fourth and stepped him time after time and we couldn't take advantage

He's $20 million done. And for that type of money fans expect more. He's now a 14/7 guy who brings a lot of leadership. I'd say that's worth about $5-7 million a year.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
At least he is someone I am noticing getting just a tiny bit better with each game. Unlike O'Neil.... ::)
