Yeah, it's stupid early, but...

Chris Paul - 36.5 minutes a game, 45% shooting, 80% fts, 15 pts, 9 asts, 2.5 rebs, 2 stls, 2 TOs

Rajon Rondo - 40 minutes a game, 54% shooting, 66% fts, 22 pts, 10.3 asts, 5 rebs, 2 stls, 5.3 TOs

Chris Paul is easily the most overrated player in the game...and doesnt get critiqued the way rondo does...Rondo got blasted for everything even "going in the tank" last season after the Perkins trade....thats reason to trade him for Chris Paul!
..who went completely in the tank when the hornets traded tyson chandler and didnt re sign his buddy janerro pargo, but I digress.
Rondo still has room for improvement and will have the better season this year

I hope Rondo has an amazing year and shuts everybody up about trading him and all that Jazz.

I'm glad he's our PG and will be here for a long time.

Prepare to be blasted because you blasted the one who shouldn't be blasted and not blasting the one who everyone here is blasting.

Is being 0-3 the right time to be boasting about Rondo having better stats?

I mean Rondo is playing without Pierce.

Paul is on a new team.

There has been no camp.

Paul really hasn't been the same player before his injury though. Last year Paul played very passively for much of the season but many people didn't know it because the Hornets don't get a lot of media coverage and he played well in the playoffs. I think he said it himself in an interview somewhere; he's saving his knees for the playoffs and big games because he can't go all out the whole year anymore.

I can't wait and I truly believe that Rondo will make us all happy that this trade never took place.  Hell, I am already glad.  I love Rondo and have always held him in high regard.

Chris Paul is having some issues with the knee still.  Even he admits he can't go all out anymore and is saving himself for the playoffs.  I for one am glad we did not make the deal.

With that said

Deron Williams
32.3mpg 29%fg 84% from the line 14.3ppg 5.7apg 5.0rpg 1steal 5.4TO's

Derrick Rose
35.7 minutes 45%fg 90%ft 18ppg 7ast 2.3rebounds Zilch in steals and 4.7TO's

It's safe to say at the early stage of the season, we have the best point guard in the league and yet we'll still manage to complain about him.

No we don't because Rondo has not hit a game winning shot this season. Rose on the other hand has and was on the ESPN highlight reels and therefore he is by far the better player.

Paul has definitely struggled to fit in to the Clippers system so far.  To this point, the experiment of playing PGs at SG has not been a success.  It has just taken the ball out of their best players hands.

It will be interesting to watch the rest of the season.  Will they adjust the offense to keep the ball in Pauls hands more, or will they stick with what they have been doing, letting guys like Billups and Williams lead them to mediocrity as the best PG in the league plays off the ball half the time.
