I am absolutely sick of the way Mike Felger rips the Boston Celtics.

I use to consider myself a huge fan of his. But I am at the breaking point. He always goes out of his way to put cheap shots towards the Celtics. No matter what he worships the Bruins and therefore has a strong hate towards the C's.

He called them too old and washed up in late 2010 and then they made their push to the finals and he had to bite his tongue. And he continues to trash them at any cost on a day to day basis. I'm calling for a protest of his programming. DO NOT support this guy if you love the Celtics.

They are on 98.5 right now basically acting as if the Celtics are completely done. HELLO they came back down 15 in MSG without #34 to lose by 2. They came back within 2 points of the Heat in Miami in the 4th q without mr. 34. And they looked terrible on the second night of a back to back. Are we surprised by that result? I'm not...

A couple calls our way/ different bounces of the ball/ Paul Pierce on the floor... we could be 2-1.

Miami was lucky enough to hold us off with no #34 and win by 2. Last night they almost lost to the Bobcats (they won on a last second shot). Miami could easily be 1-2 right now.

And the Knicks got blown out by Golden State last night and nearly escaped the C's on xmas day. They could easily be 0-2.

But it is what it is... we are 0-3 and "done"
the heat are 3-0 and "unstoppable"
and the knicks are 1-1 and gonna de thrown the Celtics as the Atlantic division champs

give it a few weeks with pierce and pietrus in the mix and then let's panic.

FELGER SUCKS

Felger doesnt like the nba period, so I really take most of his opinions on celtics/nba with a grain of salt. he knows more about the Bruins, and Pats at times..

most rediculous statement he made tonight is that he thinks KG has checked out because hes not happy with the roster and KG doesnt care to put in an effort anymore

Yeah. That is ridiculous... KG has way to much heart/ pride to just check out in my opinion.

It's all a gimmick for Felger. He loves to rip on the Celtics but he rips on most Boston sports just to be a contrarian. He's like a broke Skip Bayless.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Any baseball fans been tuning in for Felger & Mazz's weekly Wednesday discussions with Peter Gammons?

It's entertaining and informative, but man it makes me a little uneasy too.  Could there be two more opposite guys than Felger and Gammons.  I love hearing Felger push Gammons, and hearing Peter patiently and astutely respond.  Crazy mismatch.

I wouldn't even call it a mismatch.

Just two completely opposing personalities.

I think Felger is a professional troll and at times does it so much that he ends up liking to do it.

He does make some very valid points and is able to back it up to some degree which is good but most of the times he just rips on every thing and everyone to spark some drama or conflict.

I think 98.5 has become just as bad as WEEI.

They came on the air like 3 years ago promising an alternative and they've fastly degraded into exactly what caused WEEI to create a sour taste in many.

I used to be really bothered by Felger when I would watch him on comcast sports net years ago, but then something changed. Felger openly admitted that he doesn't like basketball, doesn't enjoy watching it, and rarely does.  I wouldn't take the opinion seriously of anyone who doesn't actually like or watch the sport he/she is commentating on.  I find his Bruins analysis to be very interesting on the other hand.

In general, after some personal experience working in the local sports radio business, I realized that all of the stuff we see from these commentators is just shtick.  These guys are much different people off the air than on the air.  People I believed I wouldn't be able to stand working with turned out to be the opposite of what I had imagined.  So when I do listen, I do it with a fair amount levity.
