this kid is okay for D League, but let's not go crazy. He is no solution to our 5 or back up 5 issues. He can't play consistent defense, never mind having no offensive game.

I think it's too late.  We've already gone crazy.  (until the next game...I seem to recall JR Bremer hitting 5 3's in a game and some big dude grabbing 18 boards or something drawing similar reactions)

Well, he showed more than any other Celtics young player has thus far this season.  The little Js in the preseason, good activity level, decent finishing ability and surprising shot blocking ability.  More promising than Semih thus far.

And I think Stiemsma is a weird enough name that a nickname is unnecessary.

He already has a nicknamed earned in the D-League; The Vanilla Gorilla.  I guess it's not considered very "PC" these days and maybe won't catch on in the NBA.

That was also Joel Pryzbilla's nickname back before he hurt his knee and was producing well for Portland.
