typical over-reaction by everyone here. Our starters looked GASSED. we had no energy out of the gate, and that mainly is due to going all out trying to come back against the heat a mere 24hours ago...weve all seen our woes on back to backs against sub .50 teams the past few years. didnt change our playoff success

Doc gambled with trying to go all out against Miami and now he ends up with 2 losses instead of a guaranteed 1(against miami).

we'll be fine in the end. these old teams need some time to get their nba legs back

Teams currently better than the Celtics:

Knicks
Heat
Bulls
Hornets
Lakers
Clippers
OKC

Possibly Atlanta, Denver, Golden State, the Blazers and I'm probably forgetting a few. Top 5? LOL!

After 3 games, some teams I'd take right now in a game over the Boston Celtics:

Heat, Bulls, Thunder (obvious)
Atlanta Hawks
Indiana Pacers
Denver Nuggets
Portland Trailblazers
San Antonio Spurs
Los Angeles Clippers
Golden State Warriors

I might be missing a couple.

not that it will be the same situation, but the Bruins started out their season HORRIBLY goign something like 0-7...and we all know how they picked up after that.

its a long season, and while theres not much for optimism yet, i saw good things in the team against the knicks/heat. hopefully we build on it starting friday against the Knicks.

I still think this is a team trying to find their legs/bearing. its like does anyone think the Mavs are as bad as they looked their first 2 games? and we've looked better than them.

I got a bad feeling we can tack on Minnesota. I'm pretty sure it's a sign of the apocalypse when the Clippers and Minny are better than the Celts. Pretty sure.

Bruins did not start 0-7. Regardless, the Celts got blown out by a team tonight that lost its two best players -- Paul and West -- and did not have its new best player playing tonight. Right now, the Celtics are a top 10-15 team in the league.

Not sure I'd go that far yet, but I wouldn't be comfortable picking the Celtics in any game against the T-Wolves.  Kevin Love would probably get 25 rebounds and hit 5 open 3's.

At least my fantasy team will be doing well.

sorry, they went 3-10 still, a horrible start looking like a horrible team and now they are #1 in the east.

I doubt we will be #1, but to hit the panic button this early in the season is rediculous. once stuff starts to jell, who knows what happens.

Through their first 12 games, the Bruins were 5-7. One other thing they have going for them -- they won the Stanley Cup last year and other than Tim Thomas, they don't have a ton of guys playing for them who are as old as Methuselah.

I'm telling you right now Rondo's trade value goes down in Rubio can go toe to toe with him.

It would be like "Oh look. There's a new Rondo. And he can hit free throws! Wow!"

yeah, who's gonna be Tyler Seguin on this team?  Avery Bradley?

chara and tim thomas arent exactly the youngest pups in the league...but anyways the fact still stands 5-7 is not a good start and that early season slump wasnt a barometer of success.

hitting hte panic button 3games into the season is rediculous. we could go on a run starting friday and all of a sudden the tone of the board changes.

are the mavericks a borderline playoff team after getting blown out in 2 straight games? No, because its early in the season and plenty of time to turn things around.

all the older teams seem to be struggling right out of the gate. Lakers, mavs, celtics. but in the end I think theyll all be right up there

Mavericks won't be nearly as good as they were last year with the guys they lost. Tyson Chandler was the key to their defense and Lamar Odom does not want to be there.

The Cs are a top 5 team in allowing the other team to score in the paint buckets with the ease of a pre-game layup line shot, over and over again, until Celtics fans want to smash their TVs.
