OKC Thunder should go after Dwight Howard (Harden+Perkins+Collison+Maynor))

Thunder send:

Perkins
Harden
Collison
Maynor

Magic send:
Howard
(+Von Wafer & Earl Clark if they want more back).

Magic get a young, solid Core of Perkins, Harden and Maynor, While collison can come in off the bench to back up Perkins/Big Baby/Ryan Anderson).

OKC are going to have to get rid of either Westbrook or Harden at some point because they'll be spending so much.

OKC starting five:

Howard
Ibaka
Durant
Sefalosha
Westbrook

Simply unstoppable team now that Howard is scoring where Perk isn't.

Would Orlando look at this? What else could you throw in on each side?

The biggest obstacle to this happening would be Dwight's willingness to go to a small market team.
This trade seems good to both sides for me.

Oklahoma would have to give up Westbrook to get in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes and, if they did, yeah, I think Orlando would give strong consideration to their trade package.

I would expect the Thunder to try and hold onto Harden and Ibaka too while Orlando tries to pry either one of them away in addition to Westbrook. Not sure whether they'd manage to squeeze one of those guys into the trade package or not.

If Oklahoma did offer one of those guys plus Westbrook, I think they'd have the best trade offer out there. If not, it would be a strong offer but wouldn't separate themselves from the pack. It would depend on what direction Orlando's front office wanted to go in.

If I am Orlando, I want to stay away from that Perkins contract.

I would be demanding Sefolosha and Collison as salary filler if filler was required. Nice low priced deals which could easily be packaged elsewhere for an additional asset or two (say a low first round pick each).

Yeah, yeah, they very well might want Perk.

I could see Otis Smith wanting Perk in the package. Someone to fill that huge gaping hole at center. Still reasonably young. Not too bad a contract either (just too long for my liking for a retooling team). 

But if it was me, I wouldn't want Perk in the deal. I'd be looking to avoid that contract.

As would everyone else in the league. But ya, if Howard isn't coming to Boston, why would he go to cow town to play (and you know this would be true) under KD and even westbrooks shadow??

I was thinking about something like this myself.  I think it makes a ton of sense for both teams.

Nobody wants Perkins back in a deal with that overpriced contract.  You don't pay that kind of money for 4 pts and 8 rebounds per.
