They play such a high energy style, will it last threw the season???

Maybe, but with 66 games in 120+ days they may burn out by play off time. Not that I would complain. Then we saw what happened with the zone, and when they had to slow down they didn't know what to do.

Its a fun style to what(if your a Heat fan) but can it win a championship???

Thoughts?

It will depend on role players to step up big like that Cole kid. I think every team in the league will be affected by injuries both young and old.

Miami has the most potential in this league. They just need to learn to break down the zone defenses by quick passing. They can generate fast break points off turnovers but curiously the box socre says the Celtics outscored the heat on fast break points - is that a misprint?
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I can't see another team in teh NBA beating these guys 4 out of 7 times...buuut I wouldn't have thought Dallas could last year either.  That's why they play the games I guess

No Rondo and others were very agressive in transition, more aggressive than the Heat. More points, but also more turnovers on the fast break (though I didn't break those down)

Lebron and Wade have always been so fast and in such good shape.

Somebody on the Heat getting injured is all the other teams can hope for. I see them getting 40 before they just rest the starters for the Playoffs.

With LeBron and Wade?  Yes.

Just by having LeBron James, they're all but guaranteed to win 50 games. Add in Wade and they are a clear cut top 3 team. The unfortunate thing for everyone else is that they also have Bosh and a group of solid role players. Once they learn how to beat the zone, which will happen, they're going to be the obvious favorite in any game they play.

The more interesting question to me is can the C's keep up the pace?

We're averaging 8 possessions more per game over 2 games than we averaged last season. If that keeps up, Rondo might actually average 20ppg this year.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson

Fair. I guess I should have said an even more obvious favorite.

Being obvious favorites in any game they play didn't put any rings on their fingers last year.

The 1996 Bulls didn't go undefeated, either.

Being obvious favorites in any game they play didn't put any rings on their fingers last year.

It did, however, get them to 58 wins and within two games of a title in the first year with Mike Bibby playing significant minutes for them.
