But just because they are playing doesn't make them better. If you have literally nothing to go by about how JJ will play in the NBA how can we say two players are better?

Yeah, duh they are playing better but are they better, nobody knows that yet.

If we lose tomorrow what will you say then?

That 0-3 feels bad, the team probably looked flat and it's a good thing there's 63 more to play.

An 0-3 start would be one of our worst starts ever. Look it up. Has not happened in years.

OK, listen closely: Actually getting time on the floor means you are playing better. Because you actually get to play. You have to play to be a player.

Pssst... We're missing our best player and possibly our best backup. We played Miami and New York.

Awesome. Jermaine for Bynum sounds fair to me. I'll call up the Lakers.

Did I deny that? no. I even bolded it for you to see.

The issue I'm taking with this thread is that your saying they are both better. It's one game.

I also pointed out it was one game.

I am just saying that I am getting a bad feeling about trends that are starting.

I think Pierce will have this heel trouble all season. It tends to nag a player.

I just see a team that is savvy and proud but is just too old to compete with the top teams anymore.

Come on now. You know Doc doesn't trust rookies. E'Twaun Moore was clearly the better player than Avery Bradley (and I really want Bradley to work out with us) but Doc still played Bradley. Plus we have 3 power forwards in the depth chart ahead of JJJ.

You can't honestly say something/someone's worse than something/someone else if he/she/it doesn't have the chance to show it...

It is just troubling to see that they gave all this lip service to managing minutes and it is not happening.

I want to have to say mea culpa after the 20 game mark but I have a feeling we will barely be at the 500% level.

We let Miami shoot 56% tonight. That has nothing to do with Pierce being out. That is the team getting old and slow and our defensive mindset starting to slip. Teams are scoring over 100 against us. Big problem.

I thought we were going to manage minutes? Allen played 40, Garnett 33. This is not the way to do this. Just really worrisome.

Plus Cole is playing major minutes and had a great game. Make all the excuses you want.

We failed to get West, Green is out for the year. We are not winning the title guys. Face it.

Even the TNT guys talked about that fact last night.

KG at 33 minutes is too much now? Against MIAMI?

That's not what this thread is presumably about. Check the title for yourself: you made it.

Now, if you're going to try to suggest that our defensive performance would not have anything to do with not having a capable Small Forward on the floor tonight, let alone a very good one, I have nothing left to discuss.

THEY ARE ACTUALLY PLAYING YOU FOOL.

Are you yelling at yourself?  I'm lost here...this appears to be a response to your original post.

ctrey - I have reported you to the moderators. Your posting style here is abrasive at times.

I will see what the mods do with you.

Not throwing JJJ out in the bus yet coz I still have not seen him play yet, but this is why I hated the trade that cost us MarShon Brooks.

There were a lot of big guys that can be serviceable for us, but not plenty of guys who can score in the 2 - 3 positions. MarShon's style of play could help in the scoring if, like now Allen or Pierce goes out of injuries. And we could still have Wilcox and Bass right now. Brooks has the ability to create his own shots.

It's just me, but I think Brooks could've offered a bit more help in that position than Johnson is right now. I would love for JaJuan to be great. But I still think, with the big man rotation that we have now (include Steimsma in there) that MarShon was the better pick and could give us more help off the bench than Johnson is.
