Al would answer our problem with an inside presence. Utah has Milsap. Favors, and Kanter and Al Jefferson seems expendable to me from their side. We could offer Bradley, a 1st round pick, and maybe someone else (though I really dont wanna give up etwaun and they already have all those 4's and 5's so Jajuan seems a litle unecessary for them).
We really need to get production out of the center position and Al would solve that.

I JUST posted in another thread about Big Al....if we could somehow pry him away from Utah without touching our core, I'd love it.

Yeah, hes one of those guys you can throw the ball to in the post and watch him work it down there. His main weakness is his defense though, correct?
Plus it just feels like he needs to come back home.

I wouldn't even consider his defense to be a liability, if you ask me.

IMO, it's all about the environment.

Poor fellow was in Minny for those years...now he's traded to Utah and having to deal with the losing.

He had a nice offensive game before he was traded for KG, and while in Minny he was under the tutelage (if I'm not mistaken) of none other than Kevin McHale for a bit.

Get him here with KG, Doc and the rest of this team...give him a PG to get him the ball, and he'll be just fine.

If Ainge called Utah offering Bradley, JJJ, Moore, Jermaine and a first rounder for Al, he'd get laughed off the phone and a restraining order might be filed for good measure.

yeah, i don't think we have anything of real value to offer the Jazz other than a couple of first round picks, and I think Danny might want to hold onto those to try to move up in the draft.

Also, best of luck and a half trying to clear $14 million in cap space without gutting the team.

This kind of post makes me nuts.  Trading Al for Bradley a pick and Johnson just completely disregards that all trades must be similar in salary.  Al is making around 14 million and Bradley makes under 2.  Only way would be to include JO and picks and then I think they might consider it as it would get salary off their books in future years.

I would think Millsap is more expendable than Al. Utah is investing in Favors, and he's got the nod at the 4 right now over Millsap. I don't think they can afford to give up Al and go with Kanter at the 5 all year.

Trade threads really suck when your team has absolutly no assets whatsoever to negotiate a trade.

Or if we could pull away both Big Al and Howard without touching our core!

On the other hand, Al looks like an anchor that drags teams to the bottom of the standings. Also, nice inside presence last night against and LA team playing on its 3 consecutive night.

Don't be fooled by stats and footwork.

I think Al would have been quite attainable if Green was still in the fold.

Without him, there's no way we can match salaries and still improve the team through the trade.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

The only way I can see us getting him would be for KG. Which might not be a terrible move except it would kill our cap space for next year and we'd probably have to include a pick.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
