So are you saying start Bass at PF, KG at C, and Quis at SF?

We need Bass off the bench, but yeah JO wasn't doing much out there. With Wilcox hurting his shoulder, sounds like we'll see our first JJJ action tomorrow.

Disagree with the Sasha hate though, I thought he did fine (given the situation). He's not a starter, or a backup, but he'll do perfectly fine as a 3rd/4th-stringer who can play defense and make an offensive play or two for ya.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

Either bass or kg at center. Depends on who the center is on the other team

  • Rondo = Good

I'd prefer to see the unit that was finishing the game tonight.

Rondo - Dooling - Ray - Bass - KG

That's probably our best all-around unit right now.

Moore, Bradley, Marquis.

Shouldn't be hard to have one of Rondo, Dooling, or Ray in at all times to handle ball-handling.

I don't know that you have to dump Quis or even Sasha yet, it's not like we're going against Melo/LeBron at sf every game.

I'd prefer starting Wilcox.  Bass' inside-outside skillset makes him more versatile, gives us more flexibility with the bench.  Sub in Wilcox and JO and you lose the big guy perimeter threat our offense depends on.

Wilcox is a guy who can score with the starters.  Not so much with the bench (as long as Dooling is running the show and the wings can't space the floor to allow him to post-up).

As for Sasha starting, that's to allow Daniels to bring his offensive skill-set off the bench to help make up for the lack of Rondo.  Hasn't really been necessary considering how much Rondo has played/how little Daniels has been able to do offensively spending so much time at the 3 (defenders too big to post up).
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

It really doesn't matter what you label them. You are saying start Bass and Quis, which means JO is still playing, but off the bench. We also still need a backup SF, so Sasha plays. I don't really see the difference. Doc likes ending the game with Bass. Once Pierce returns Bass will be much more valuable coming off the bench since Pierce, Ray and Rondo will all provide plenty of offence with the starters.

Sasha got 13 mins, JO 22 -- what is the big deal? Bass got 32 -- he will get his minutes. Are you saying that Wilcox should get more minutes? He hasn't been impressive either.
