Good. Even without PP, Pietrus would've been enough to get us the W in NY.

Hope that they are not rushing him back because PP is out...I guess they know what they are doing.

His last year wasn't very good, but at his best he was a very good backup SG/SF type.

More importantly he provides a wing who is a three point shooter, that's very important for spacing and scoring off of the Big 4's play.

Yea I think some people are forgetting how he was last year and think we're getting a 2009/10 Pietrus. Im trying not to get my hopes up until he shows he can be effective.

As compared with Jeff Green, who I can't help feeling is the piece we thought might make a difference this year, MP should be a better 3-pt shooter, a worse scorer and rebounder, and a better defender at the 3 in short minutes.   MP plays smaller than JG, a 2/3 rather than a 3/4, but at 6'6" isn't small and seems stronger than the more wispy Green.  But MP is likely past his own ceiling and at best will be a guy who can effectively spell PP/RA with some energy defense and an occasional 3.

to be fair though, I dont think Phoenix used him efficiently which is part of the reason they waived him this year..he still averaged about 7.5pts off the bench though

Phoenix didn't have much use for a guy whose best quality is his defense.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

It wasn't a good fit at all.

Suns didn't like him and he especially didn't like his situation there.

Suns GM said something wise like "they say all's well that ends well, let's just say this [about Pietrus' tenure there] all's well that ends."

He really wants to be here. Pietrus likes KG and Doc.
