Looking at the schedule, and with PP out, and MP nowwhere in site I'd say 4-8, with an uphill battle to stay around .500 til PP gets back. Pietrus situation not encouraging either.
We seriously need some breaks to start going our way to get us rolling!

Well we already lost the first game so I can't change that so... 11-1!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

6-6. A lot of tough games and 2 back-to-backs. I say they beat Washington twice, the Nets, the Pistons, the Hornets and the Mavericks. On their way to a 38-28 season at best.

I'm going with a 45 win season.

1st 12 games:
@NYK, @MIA,@NOH, DET,
@WAS,WAS, NJ, IND,
DAL, CHI,@IND,
OKC, TOR, PHX,
@WAS,ORL..
I'd say prolly 7-5 ..  we'd mostly lose road games or 2nd of back-to-backs (NYK, MIA, IND, OKC, WAS)
best case scenario is 8-4.. worst case 5-7 , depending on when Pierce returns..
I predict a 46-53 win season.. 3rd-6th seed..

10-2

this team was #1 team in the east last year for a good portion of the season. people forget this for some reason.

not the same team, correct, we are a better team in some respects. we have a backup PF that can dunk, pietrus, and a competent backup ball handler.

7-5

Something like this:

@ Knicks -- Loss
@ Heat -- Loss
@ Hornets -- Win
vs. Pistons -- Win
@ Wizards -- Win
vs. Wizards -- Loss
vs. Nets -- Win
vs. Pacers -- Win
vs. Mavericks -- Win
vs. Bulls -- Win
@ Pacers -- Loss
vs. OKC Thunder -- Loss

Btw, I figured pretty much what PosImpos listed. Swap the Wizards loss with the Pacers win, since I think we'll roll over the Wizz easily and get pounced by Indy afterwards.

Dallas was a tossup for me, but after today, I'd say we could deck 'm in 2 quarters.

  So the best the Celts can do would be the equivalent of 9 games worse than last year? Wow.

In a shortened season with injury issues and the East getting even tougher?  Yeah, that doesn't sound too unrealistic.  If Paul, Ray, or KG miss significant time (10-15 games) we could definitely be looking at the equivalent of a 45-48 win season here.  I mean, they only won 50 a couple years back when they were coasting / stumbling their way through the regular season, and that's when the Big 3 were a couple years younger.

Still, I think the equivalent of a 50-53 win season is more likely, unless one our key players miss a combined 25+ games.

  So if you think that the equivalent of 50-53 wins is likely, one would assume that you'd think that the best they could do is at least a few wins more than that. In other words, loathe though you are to admit it, you seem to agree with me.
