I think that was just a postgame comment blown out of proportion from Doc w/ no training camp he was speaking in general anybody you pick up hard to get chemistry or practice in you throw them in the fire. If Pietrus is still recovering from his knee surgery and not right yet it'd be stupid to throw him out there to try and guard Lebron James.

No. I think it'll be a good game until Miami pulls away late.

In a word -- no.

Nobody is going to "carve up" Miami.

Yeah, they probably won't let a single opponent go off against them all year...

Certainly there will be players that score against the Heat, no doubt.  But unless LBJ and Wade are taking the night off, I have a hard time seeing anybody "carving up" the Heat defense.

So players will have big games against the Heat without "carving up" the Heat defense? Interesting.

Yes.  "Carving up" suggests that players will effortlessly score big against the Heat.  I just don't see that happening against that defense.

Kind of like what Ray did against the Heat last year?

Yes.  "Carving up" suggests that players will effortlessly score big against the Heat.  I just don't see that happening against that defense.

No.

35 points when you're 7-9 on threes is pretty effortless scoring. And Rondo carved up the Heat's defense in that game with 16 assists.

The Heat were 5th or 6th in defense last year, it's not like they were the 07-08 Celts.

I'll go with what I saw. It beats believing all the hype.

If we play the way we played against the Knicks, this one will be over in the second quarter
