How about the positives we can take from this game? We looked like we were about to get blown out on christmas and then the celtics stormed back and proved we can still own this team in the 3rd quarter like we did all last year. And with no Paul Pierce even. The call at the end on Quis was atrocious but what else do you expect from the Bald little gremlin.

But besides that Rajon looked amazing. He was looking for contact to get to the line and that's a great sign. I was the one who created a post hoping Rajon improved his weaknesses and so far after game 1, looks like he has. Brandon Bass looked like a huge upgrade over Baby and played great. Defensively he needs some time but I think he'll get there. The loss was a disappointment but overall I think we went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the east and probably should have come out with a win without Paul Pierce, our closer.

I am overall satisfied by our efforts today, no need to fix anything yet

We were doomed once the bench lost the 10 point lead and we were stuck in a 1-on-1 crunch time battle with Melo enjoying such a huge advantage over Daniels. 

Disappointing signs were Dooling's complete ineffectiveness with the bench, the entire team's defensive struggles in the 1st half.  Our failure to get Daniels involved offensively was also disappointing; he hurt us a lot offensively.

Positive signs: Rondo's overall performance.  KG came alive defensively in the 2nd half, even though he's never going to be the offensive rock Doc wants.  Bass did all the Baby things better than Baby ever did.

Yes it was a heck of effort by an undermaneed old guys team facing a teamfull of IN THEIR prime superstars.  Remove Chandler, Amaire or Mellow , anyone we would have blow them out .

PP is too VALUABLE ,  team can't go far with out him.......and take away Green ....it really wasn't fair.......but they showed up and were game dispite being undermaned.

Without BASS we'd have been slaughtered

as two minor positives...

i thought daniels did as best as we could expect for being the 3rd sf on the team and guarding carmelo.

carmelo was really on today. a number of his shots were fairly well contested by daniels, but carmelo made them any way.

daniels wasnt strong enough to push carmelo out of his spots on a consistent basis. but then, that is why daniels is the 3rd sf.

also bass, he had a heck of a game. and once the rest of the team is more familiar with him, he should play an important role for the celtics.

his jump shot was good today. he really works hard under the basket too.

this was a very close game that could have gone either way. but the celtics were the better team i thought. they played without pierce, in NYC, and still almost won.

daniels CANNOT cover the lebrons and carmelos.....he needs to be a back up SG....bradley doesn't deserve any minutes. dude is horrible...sasha is another one that is worthless...

i like bass a lot...love ray..rondo is rondo...JO gives us not a lot...wilcox is a grinder....but there is a huge hole at SF...we need P and Pietrus ASAP

Having watched this game, the Celtics have improved big time and fixed a lot of problems. Rondo appears to be taking that open J and sinking free throws. Bass has brought us some serious athleticism along with actual skill. That and Ray and KG looked pretty good except for a couple questionable moves. Iam very happy with the team. Of course, we could use a real offensive threat at center, but even without that we are still very good.

I think you move Quis to the 2 spot and Pietrus to the backup 3...

Maybe, but the fact that our three best players played more minutes than their three best players and we still lost is somewhat discouraging.
